There's just no point being tactful anymore if some posters are going to turn threads into dumpster fires, you have to reply to them on their level from the get go, it ends up saving a dozen posts to finally get to the point. Your post carries just as much weight as the one Hart replied to, as he was replying to HD MM who said the exact same thing except about Yaz's team - "who cares."

I wish there was much more moderation in this forum, there was briefly the threat of it, but I think Ramy avoids ths forum too. I'd suggest reporting posts, but then you'll be infracted and banned for 'reporting posts that can hurt people's feelings'.

I was simply pointing out that the Broncos problems aren't with their QB. It lies much deeper than that. Not sure why or how that can be misconstrued into "hurting someone's feelings."

Lions, Tigers and Bears tonight. Oh My!

i agree but not so sure about that jet game. besides the fact that miami is bad, they're full of injuries. but yeah miami can win a couple of games with their schedule. i want them to win one game at the most :D

Miami is the team that I can't explain how they can slip out of the Suck for Luck sweepstakes. Partly because I haven't seen them play this year, but also because they don't have a dominant cog as part of their team. There's little to get them to steal a game, the whole team has to click to get an upset (IMO)

Rams... talented enough on offense to steal a few games
Chiefs... same as Rams + Cassel's inconsistancy and running game means things will align a few times and they'll win
Colts... the lone winless team, their defense will be enough to upset a couple teams as long as Painter/whomever doesn't turn the ball over
Vikings... Adrian Pederson, Jared Allen... basically the same line as KC... offense/defense good enough that if they're good at the same time they can get a couple wins if McNabb doesn't give it away or defense doesn't keep collapsing
Bengals... Probably too good in hindsight to have ever been mentioned here

Probably missed a couple. I think a couple of the teams above could get good enough if they come on at the right points to end up in the mediocre 7-9/8-8 area too.

I expect KC will have a top 10 pick now, rather than a shot at number 1. The power of having no hope though, so easy to overlook they're only a couple games back in the division, not that this team could do much to anyone in the playoffs.

Moving on.... Ben looked great considering the fact that he was in a boot after last week's game. Rey, I have the STRANGEST feeling about that Jet game coming up. Personally, I think EVERYONE will have at least a couple of wins and I say the winner of the luck sweepstakes will be around 3-13, 4-12 range.

I moved on already, lol :D

ENOUGH of that, I like the "yinzers vs. clowns" back and forth...MUCH more funnier and this place needs funny today. Too serious....!

Look Cy, we play the Clowns next week....we are gonna take care of Hillis's soar throat for him ...LOL!:p:D

Oh don't get me wrong, I hate the clowns and the bungles, they are a wart on the steelers as......um butt. :D

I just got tired of the personal bashing, that is not needed.

Now them raiders I will be rooting for next week.

Week 5 Thoughts

1. The "dream" has turned into a nightmare. The Iggles are 1-4?! Ouch. Can't see Vick not ending up on the IR in another week or so either. The thing is, we all saw this coming (with Vick not being able to stay healthy and with the porous offensive line). The question is, how did Eagle management NOT see this???

2. Emotional win by the Ray-dah's! JUST WIN BABY! Despite what you think of Al Davis, football historians know him for the man who effected the NFL on more levels than just about anyone else in the game. As a scout, coach, commissioner, owner and innovator. Al would be proud of the way their boys pulled it out in the end against a very good Houston team.

3. Chiefs vs. Colts. Did anyone WANT to win that game? Ouch. Suck for Luck sweepstakes: Advantage Colts.

4. What happened to the Cardinals this year? An embarrassing loss to the lowly Vikings? What are they, 2.5 years removed from the Super Bowl? Derek Anderson wasn't the answer. Kolb doesn't look to be the savior that everyone envisioned either. They've got a lot to figure out.

5. Why can't the Giants win two in a row? And a loss to the Seachickens, in East Rutherford?! Seattle typically doesn't play well when travelling to the east coast. This loss is more proof that the G-Men are still a very Jekyll and Hyde team.

6. So much for Ben's sore foot. Besides, he didn't need a foot to sling 5 TD's Sunday. Looks like the Steelers are working through some early season woes and may have righted the ship on Sunday.

7. Is there such a thing for a "moral victory" for Cam Newton and the Panthers? If so, they've got about 3 or 4 this year.

8. The Bengals are a better team with OUT Carson Palmer and Terrell Owens. This of course is a surprise to all. Including me.

9. 49ers 48, Bucs 3. Was that a college score?!

10. The Chargers are the luckiest 4-1 team in the league. But the fact is they are still 4-1 I guess. Not a very good 4 win team though.

11. Falcons lose another! Keep losing! Where my Browns make their second 1st round selection next year depends on it!!! :)

12. What happened to the Jets?

13. Looking forward to checking out the most exciting team in the NFL tonight.... the DETROIT LIONS! Never thought I'd say that!

Looking forward to the best game of the week tonight. This will be the most exciting game of the season so far for the Lions. But the biggest game won't be until they face the Packers on Thanksgiving. Can you imagine if both teams stay undefeated until then? That would probably create the biggest game for the Lions in decades. Of course we would have to wait and see. Until then, I'll just enjoy the ride.:)

WTF does Big Ben have to do with the conversation ?IF you MUST go that route, At least Big Ben's team WON.
Yes but big ben didnt come into the game in the 3rd qtr already down by 16 points.. Not to mention Big Ben just played last week.. Where as Tebow has not played in how many months? I mean the Tebow haters can hate all they want but the FACTS on the field say it all.. When Tebow came into the game the entire game changed. He had a higher QB rating then Orton, and even a star like Ben. He even came within 1 throw of winning the game, even scambling keeping the final play alive for almost 10 seconds dodging defenders and still managed to get the last throw off, but it was not caught. Orton would of been sacked after the first 5 seconds. As he is not much of a scambler. Tebow gave the Broncos the best chance to win, and its about time the Broncos coaches stop listening to the BS and look at the facts on the field.

your bills are much improved this year but a win over the eagles isn't a big deal. especially when you consider all of those turnovers! in a situation like that you better win. and even so your bills allowed a comeback by the eagles which could've cost your team that game yesterday. its nice that the bills are on top of the afc east but the question is for how long???? IF you do win the division, it might be more of an indication of the issues the pats and jets are having.no worries about the fins making a comeback :Dby the way, that IF is a big IF. the pats usually get better and better as the season progresses. no fearing the bills yet....
Based on what I've see from the Jets so far, I'm not afraid of Gang Green.

The Jets still have the best defense in the division, and the Patriots still have the best team in the division.

Have the Bills improved? Absolutely. But let's see where the Bills are after say, Week 12 before we make any parade plans. ;)

Sounds reasonable to me.
