Exactly! Regardless of the state of the offensive line, a player like Vick (or Young) will be hit A LOT.

...but even more so when if your o-line sucks. Maybe if the Eagles would have gotten some line help instead of going after half of the free agent roster...this might not be an issue. I mean he has become more of a pocket passer than before he went to jail...he has some of the fastest WR and RBs in the league..to me, he is running for his life because his line sucks.

OK...it's the offensive line, Steve Young had a good offensive line so it's not the offensive line...let's move on.

Steve young had a hell of a team around him.sorry but i give more credit to that 49er team for all those wins than Steve young.

Gee, I don't know if Detroit has EVER been in this spot !

The Boston Red Sox collapse should provide a cautionary tale to the Philadelphia Eagles. When they signed Nnamdi Asomugha everybody said "Super Bowl." Now,it's "yeah but can he block for Michael Vick?" Also,we've yet to see Vince Young in uniform this regular season.

Sorry to interrupt this latest episode of 'you shut up, no you shut up', but here's the current draft order.

1. Kansas City
2. St. Louis

31. Buffalo
32. Detroit

The Chiefs play the Vikings this weekend, and the Colts next weekend. They play Miami week 9. The Rams do not play any team currently keeping them company at the top of the draft order.

Feel free to erase Atlanta's pick and insert Cleveland (part of the Julio Jones trade a year ago). If we are going to speculate, as of today, Cleveland would get the #8 and #16 picks in the 2012 NFL draft! Finally, with Tom Heckert and Mike Holmgren in charge, we're building this team right..... thru the draft!

In a pick'em pool at work. They make you pick 2 underdogs out of a list (which is usually hopeless). Here's this weeks list. What 2 do you think have the best chances?

Carolina over Chicago
Jacksonville over New Orleans
Seattle over Atlanta
Miami over San Diego
Denver over Green Bay
Oakland over New England
Indy over Tampa Bay

Oakland over New England. The second one is a tough call. I'll take Seattle over Atlanta just because Seattle is home and they're tough at home.

Lions kicker Jason Hanson is named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for September. He scored the game winning field goal for the Lions last Sunday against the Vikings.

I just don't see Oakland over New England. I'm not even sure when New England lost 2 games in a row last. Tom Brady had to throw 4 picks for the Bills to win by 3 as time expired.

Both teams will present each other problems. Brady is the master of the short pass to the RB and WR screens...the Raiders achillies. But, the Raiders front line is very physical and I honestly think one good hit in the 1st quarter and Brady will get rattled.

I guess it will be a battle of who forces their will most.

Use the Lions game plan from during the pre season !
