2010 NCAA Football Season

[Rant]

I don't care about this match-up. However, I just wanted to say the Spitoonies deserve a coach like Rich Rodriguez. What in blue-blazes ever prompted Michigan leadership to hire this bozo (no offense to Bozo the Clown)? Here is my summary of the University's Board of Directors meeting back then:

AD Martin: "I think our football program has been too successful the past 40+ years. We need to find a coach who can stink-up the Big House...so bad people will refer to it as the $#*! House. We need a coach who can rip-apart the solid foundation on which the Michigan football program was built, and rebuild it on sacks-of-manure. We need a coach who will fill the playbook with gimicks and trickery, and ignore teaching players the fundamentals of how we have played the game the past 130+ years. We need a coach who will refuse to play Defense...because it is boring and we would rather lose 56-38 than win 28-10. We need a coach the players, fans, alumni and alumnae, and the University cannot respect. We need Rich Rodriguez!" :eureka:

BOD: "We fully agree...you are a genius AD Martin."

In case everyone didn't already know...former Athletic Director Bill Martin and soon-to-be former Head Coach Rich Rodriguez are not on my Christmas Card list. :)

You see, the BIG difference in coaches was that the Spartans went with a proven coach from the BUCKEYE tree, Dantonio was at Ohio State and then moved on and eventually to MSU, where as M went with the latest flame, to WV and the Spread....

As much as I bleed Maize & Blue and would love to see the team win every game, Rich Rodriguez is 100% gone if he loses in prime-time tonight (ESPN) on the road at Penn State. Michigan should win this game against a battered Penn State defense and a walk-on quarterback making his first start. However, thanks to Michigan's "feather soft" defense coupled with the fact Rich Rod is 4-15 against Big Ten opponents during his dishonorable tenure at Michigan, Penn State and Joe Pa stand an excellent chance of winning this one.

We shall see...

What happened to PSU's Freshman QB, is he injured ?
He's the one that started the season.

You mentioned a walk on making his first start ....

Must be a different guy.

My poor Spartans are betting their butt's whooped today. It was a good run, maybe they can still pull out a share of the Big 10 title.

Spartans getting man handled.

Tigers going down in flames..

Florida kicking GA ass playing the best offense of the entire season. Only 21 points scored so that aint saying much for them.. But I like it..

Now with 2 more unbeatens likly going down. the BCS is really getting a shake up. Oregon and Auburn still to play today. Auburn with a fairly easy game against Ole Miss, although those rebs are known to be an upset team. Oregon playing possibly there biggest opponent left in a improved USC..

If Oregon loses Auburn wins, and Alabama beats LSU, could we have an All Alabama BCS 1 and 2 ? I mean with an Alabama win over #12 LSU they should be able to jump over TCU and Boise, who play UNLV and Hawaii respectively. A ranking that could last until the last game of the season when both teams play each other..

Ok enough of the BCS crap onto the important stuff. If FLA pulls it off against GA, they remain alive in the east. They only have to beat S. Carolina to win the SEC East. They have 2 easy games left, Vanderbilt and App State.. And a match up against instate Rival and decent Florida State. So FLA could very well win out, with UsC being the toughest challenge. Lets say FLA does win against UsC (big if) and they go on to Atlanta.. Now I have a dilema. No way a 3 loss FLA team gets into the BCS title game even if they win the SEC... So if I want the SEC to win another championship, I got to hope Auburn or Alabama beat them (which will more then likely happen as bad as FLA has played all season).

Oh man the struggles.. I have to decide if I want FLA to win the SEC title game. Or The SEC to win the national title game...

I only got one thing to say.... GO GATORS!!!! :)

This is why many were surprised to see Alabama only drop a few spots when they got manhandled in thier loss.
Them only dropping to 7 gave them plenty of time to move up, while the next week the Bucks lost and went to 10 and have won convincingly and continued to DROP in the polls.
Neither team has beaten much of anyone since, but Bama rises and the Bucks drop, what gives ?

That said, the Bucks last part of the schedule is tougher than the current , I think.

Don't worry, a SEC team will be in it regardless, unless somehow they give it to Boise.
Big Ten is not strong enough to get up there. Particularly with MSU going down.

I don't understand this .....
Iowa is up on MSU 37-6 in the 4th and Iowa still has thier starting QB Stansi in the game.

Hopefully they won't regret it, but if he goes down and is injured badly, there is NO Iowa winning anything ....

With Mosselli at QB, you never know what might happen .....

14-14 end of 1

What a great game.. That is how Rivalry games are suppose to go.. The Boys from old Florida pulled off a great win. A win that took an entire team effort to pull off, defense, special teams and even the offense showed up today. Go figure.

My guess is up until the loss from Bama they played 3 ranked teams, and lost to a UsC team that was also ranked in the top 15 at the time (I forget the exact number) Where as Ohio had only played one ranked team Miami.

The only people really ahead of the buckeyes who are not undefeated are the Wisconsin team that beat the buckeyes and Oklahoma and Alabama. It really could go either way with those three teams, I think Alabama gets the slight edge because of schedule so far perhaps. But its only a slight nudge.

Rich Rodriguez pictured on the Michigan sideline after posting yet another embarrassing loss. This latest failure drops drops his Big Ten record to a dismal 4-16. Give me an F...give me an I...give me an R-E-D. What does that spell? FIRED! Tomorrow morning, please. :up :up

There is no way the University can keep this schmoe in place to lose-out the reminder of yet another season.

Having Rainey back and a healthy Demps really helped.

2 wins from Atlanta. This win really has me stoked for the next 2 weeks. After we dispose of Vandy, it's time to slap the OBC around the house he built.
