2010 NCAA Football Season

I have to admit, Morris showed some good moves and plays torwards the end of the game and he looked better than Harris has on a good day. I don't believe Miami will win out either, if Maryland shows up it could be a disaster not to mention I think GT will be ready to go on their home turf against the U and a game that is going to be prime time ABC that night! The VT game well, lets just say you and I both think our teams will win.. we just will have to see :)

I am relastic. IF Miami does not lose their leader. They beat UVA. Miami's strongest point all season has been their defense, not their offense. Their defense gave up 24 points to UVA because the offense could not muster up anything...12 penalties, 9 dropped balls, 5 interceptions and a ton of dropped balls...AND the loss of the most important player and leader of your team...and 99.9% percent of the top 10 team in the country would have lost too if all that were to happen to them in one game. BUT, that is part of the game. SO you move on. Play the next one. Miami can win out without question because their offense IS the run and their team IS their defense.

Do I THINK they can win? No different as do I THINK I am good lookin' ...? Yeah, I THINK definately.... but THINKING it and actually BEING it are two different animals.

VaTech has beaten one team of any caliber since their inital oh-an-2 start, that is NC State....and they had to make the biggest comeback in their schools history for that win. So, their worthiness is yet to be proven. I say IF they can win out, then they are definately a worthy ACC champion. But the same can be said IF FSU does it or Miami, because then you can say they are definately battle tested as well.

Short for Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. For most of it's history it was just Virginia Polytechnic Institute or VPI, the name Virginia Tech is only around 30 years old.

Virginia Tech Hokies - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have to say I remember this very clearly and was really funny when it happened!

When Virginia Tech was invited to join the ACC, former Roanoke Times sports editor Bill Brill expressed his displeasure, saying "Virginia Tech will not win an ACC championship in my lifetime." http://www.satelliteguys.us/#cite_note-13 When Virginia Tech's football team proceeded to do precisely that in their very first season in the league, Brill's house in Chapel Hill, North Carolina received hundreds of mocking phone calls from angry Virginia Tech fans, curious to learn when the funeral arrangements would be held.http://www.satelliteguys.us/#cite_note-14

...nice. Almost as good as the ACC, at their expansion announcement, inviting "Boston College University" to their ranks.

NCAA report on U-M to be released on Thursday

Could Rich Rodriguez be on this way out this week?

"If the committee accepts Michigan’s conclusions and penalties, the case will be closed. If the committee confirms the fifth violation and imposes additional penalties, the school could either accept the committee’s findings or appeal them.

According to the terms of Rodriguez’s contract, Michigan has the option to fire him “for cause” if “Rodriguez is determined by the NCAA, the Big Ten Conference, or the university to have committed a major violation of the NCAA rules, or to have intentionally committed any other type of violation of the NCAA Rules.”

It was rumored tonight that those things Michigan is fighting they are going to get by with just a slap on the wrist or nothing at all.

Also I'll be sure to wave at all tomorrow night, ESPN 7:30 EST from Lane Stadium :up

I'll be in either orange or maroon ;)

AP source: NCAA drops charge versus Rich Rodriguez

By LARRY LAGE, AP Sports Writer 3 hours, 53 minutes ago

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP)—The NCAA has dropped a charge directed at Michigan football coach Rich Rodriguez, a person with knowledge of the ruling has told The Associated Press.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because no one is permitted to comment on the case until the sports governing body announces its decision on Thursday.

The NCAA accused Michigan of five major rules violations related to exceeding practice and workout time in the wake of a Detroit Free Press report last year. The report led to investigations by both the school and the NCAA.

Michigan challenged one allegation—that Rodriguez failed to promote an atmosphere of compliance with NCAA rules. The school accepted responsibility for the other four allegations regarding practice and training time.

Michigan announced in May that its self-imposed sanctions included probation for two years and reducing training time by 130 hours over two years, doubling the amount of time the Wolverines exceeded NCAA rules.

The school also reprimanded seven people, including Rodriguez.

The Wolverines started this season 5-0 but have lost their last three straight. They play Illinois on Saturday.

What ?
Probation ???
Probation for what, who's gonna watch them and what is the probation looking for ?

If practice runs 10 minutes late next week, is that a penalty ?

With 90,000 others !

LOL well I didn't say it would be easy to spot me :p

My season ticket seats are about 39yard line from the score board screen endzone on the visitor (east) side. I'm by no means in the visitor section that's all the way on the other end and in the corner but I'm also about 30yards off the field so just about some of the best seats in the house! Would it help if I told you i was going to wear a maroon hat?

leavin in a few hours..hope the rain stops too!

LOL! Nice avatar HD! :up
My daughter is a Colt fan (not sure if it's the name or the guy). She was pretty excited to see him come to play for one of the Ohio teams, as she puts it. :D

There's only one professional team in this state. Us Clevelander's don't recognize Cincy as a part of Ohio. Kentucky can have them. ;)

lol I do not believe LSU will beat Alabama, I'll be surprised if Auburn beats them either. But I can see Auburn or Bama in the National title game.. I would most certainly put a few 1 loss teams ahead of a undefeated BSU team.
