2010 NCAA Football Season

Sorry dude....GREAT athlete....but no where NEAR a good enough passer to be a back up. He will more than likely no where near Tim Tebow stats or winning percentage and Tebow was a 2nd round....and we are talking about arguably the best college QB of ALL time....and a 2nd rounder.

The Ohio State QB that was backing up in Baltimore, Troy Smith is 10 times more QB than this kid will ever be. And unfortunately, all Smith could do is be a backup(though I do think he has never gotten a chance). Do you think if this kid ahd ANY chance of being in the 1st round, he would have made that statement? Even after Tebow won the Heisman twice, they were telling him to stay because he was NOT gonna be a 1st rounder.

EXCUSE ME? BUT THE GREAT ONE WAS DRAFTED IN THE FIRST ROUND THANKS!

And to boot, the conversation was not about comparing these two anyways.

The only person Terrelle Pryor is competing with is Terrelle Pryor. If he can be the best that he can be, everything will fall into place for him. The Tebow comparison was just bait.

THATS a HUGE problem that nobody understands (outside of us Buck fans). They play as a TEAM, no INDIVIDUAL will win anything.

As a leader, your judging him as a leader and say he's NOT, Have you actually been able to SEE the Buckeye games, or just guessing ?

He was definatly a Leader in his Biggest game to this point, last January in the ROSE Bowl.

I've seen many Buckeye games, a few live. And you don't seem to read much do you? Even Pryor himself pretty much says he wasn't a leader by admitting his flaws in his first few years and at that point it will take just as many to regain himself and become a leader. If he does indeed return next year which he says he will then maybe we might see a leader come out, but till then he's not.

To hear one Ohio State player tell it, Terrelle Pryor maybe wasn't a great teammate during his first two years as a Buckeye. Of course, the player explaining this was Pryor himself. "I think I was a little arrogant, to tell the truth," Pryor said Sunday. Pryor claimed he's not ready for it to end anytime soon. Unprompted, he said he'd return for his senior season, which might be a smart move according to some draft analysts.
Terrelle Pryor will return to Ohio State for his senior season

Your comical arent you ?

He may have said he wasn't a leader in the first few ... no one here expected a TRUE FRESHMAN to come in and take over the team ....

There's NO WAY you can compare him from his FRESHMAN year to NOW.

I would like to know where you got that he said he was not a leader NOW.

You don't come in a leader, you EARN IT.
The TEAMMATES will tell you who the leaders are, not the individual.

The BOLD section is YOUR talking and very ODD, NO PLAYER would ever say it will take me just as long to REGAIN myself ...
For one theres NOTHING to regain, regain WHAT ?

I was only comparing that before their junior year....Tebow was WAY more advanced than Pryor was and Tebow was no where as much recruited as Pryor was.

THAT was the only comparison.

So ..... none of us are disputing that Tebow was better.
Tebow also had a Championship caliber team around him at the time, so it was much easier for him to play well.
He was not the main QB in his freshman year, Leak was, then on to his Sophomore year they STILL had a Top 5 team in the nation.

Pryor had a senoir led team his Freshman year that pulled thier only hope to have a successful year in the 2-3 game, never did understand that move, Pryor never should have been on the field in his freshman year, starting that is.
Last year they were very young. This year the young guys have experience and should be good.

I have never disputed that and I challenge ANYONE to find a post that states I did.
But you have to admit, Pryor ALSO came into a VERY good team at Ohio State, a team, if not mistaken was a top 10 team also.

Like I said, Pryor should not have seen the field in his freshman year, they pretty much ruined the Sr's season when they put him in.
He was NOT the best QB, the starter had a bad quarter and they took him out to put in the stud and the season went downhill from there as everything was directed towards getting Pryor playing time.

I will ask you the same question NO ONE seems to wanna answer. IF your QB was the most recruited player in ALL of college football, wouldn't you have expected that after his 2nd year...he would show SOMETHING that resembled all the hype? Remember, this kid was ALL WORLD when he was going through the recruiting stage....the #1 ranked player AND QB in all of high school.

NOPE, not at all, and I answered it about 10 pages back.

I told you that the recruiting stuff was WAY overblown.

Personally, I wish there hadn't been all the hype, I found it stupid.

Then we get into camp and find that he can't throw the ball all that well to start with.

You have to remember, the PLAYER is not the one doing all the hyping, it's the wonderful recruiters and media.

How does anyone know what to expect "after his second year" when he hasn't played a season "after his second year" yet?

Like I said yesterday, let this kid play at least 3 years, if not 4 and finish out his college career before we judge him.

Don't get caught up in this HD, it's pointless. Nobody should have to defend a quarterback after his sophomore season. There is only one person trying to use that against Terrelle, and state that there is no way Terrelle will ever make it to the NFL...and if he wants to think that, let him. He's entitled to his opinion, and to decide he's figured out Terelle's future before his JUNIOR season if he likes, but it doesn't change anything.

The good news is we can wait until September 11 to see what happens, and also wait until Terrelle is drafted and see what happens there too. No reason to argue any of this prematurely. ;)

You know what? All this Terrelle bashing has me worked up to the point that I WILL give into Salsa just a tad and go out on a bit of a limb with a prediction...

Pryor will have a more successful NFL career than Jamarcus Russel. There! Mark it down.

I'm not going that far. I'd say certainly a more successful NFL career than Jason White, and maybe more successful than Tim Tebow. That remains to be seen.
