The Road to SuperBowl XLIV: The Official 2010 NFL Playoffs Thread

I agree that 14 points isn't insurmountable, but the way the Ravens and Cowboys offense looked it might as well have been a 28 point deficit.

IMO, the only way either of those teams made it a game would have been a turnover or special teams play.
:up

Thru 3 in SD .....

Color me SURPRISED ....
Jets doing a very nice job, just took the lead.

I thought that the Chargers were the better OVER ALL team and the Jets had the better D.

That better D is winning this game so far.

Didn't know how well the Jets Offense would do against the Chargers, thats said, the Jet's D put them in GREAT position to score.

Should be an interesting 4th quarter.

fwiw, I'm 3-0 so far, but I took SD in this one .

If the Chargers had ANY confidence in their kicker, they would have kicked the FG on 2nd down.

EDIT: they scored a TD anyway................

The defense-fueled J-E-T-S continue this most improbable of playoff journeys.

The insanely hot streak for SandraC's teams (ever since her Cabo vacation) continues.

To those who preach that defense wins championships, this is your team.

As for the Chargers- well, they could be one of the biggest NFL underachiever teams this decade.

This is a WAY bigger upset than the Pats' game in January 2007.

It's one thing to lose to a team with experience, a champion quarterback/coach combo, and Super Bowl rings dripping from their fingers.

But a team with a rookie QB and rookie coach? Did not see this coming.

Shows you how much I know:

I thought the Jets should have punted and put the game in the hands of their defense..............ESPECIALLY with the way the Chargers kicker was going.

No, you punt into the endzone and it's a net punt if about 10 yards. Miss a FG and it's a 17 yard loss, make a FG and you still lose to a TD. Going for it on 4th was the right call even if they don't get it.
