The Road to SuperBowl XLIV: The Official 2010 NFL Playoffs Thread

Cardinals= two plays from scrimmage (TD and turnover).

At this rate the Cards defense will be exhausted (especially considering a short week + travel).

Aggregate score of the last 5 quarters (+ 3 MINUTES of OT) of Cardinals "football":

Opponent 66, Cardinals 58 :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Halftime.....................

Saints 35, Cardinals 14

Has there EVER been a playoff team with a worse defense than this Cardinals team?

After all these years, the Saints will finally host an NFC Championship Game.

BTW, this is only the third postseason win in Saints history.

Not sure what is worse the officials or listening to Dan Dierdorf?

Defenseless receiver? He knocked the ball loose and Collie ducked his head.

I was like WTF?? on that call also. :confused: In all my years watching football, I don't ever recall that being called.

It was actually a GREAT defensive play by Ray Lewis...........otherwise it was a TD.

Also, on that 2nd down play at the end of the half, ONLY :02 came off the clock, when clearly :04 or :05 expired, with no mention of this by either Gumbel or the bag of wind Dierdorf! The Colts would have been forced to kick a FG if the correct time came off the clock!

It was the right call. You'll never be able to tackle a WR by hitting them in the head again, it's not going to change.

Ask Muhammad Ali for his thoughts on head injuries, players are faster and stronger than they were in the past, the rules are more than warranted if not overdue.

It was actually bad defense by Ray Lewis and his safety, the ball shouldn't have gotten to the WR. The helmet to helmet hit was the equivalent of falling down on the play so you trip the guy
