The Road to SuperBowl XLIV: The Official 2010 NFL Playoffs Thread

2. I always find it funny when players who outperform their current contract lobby for a new contract. Would that same player ask for a decrease in pay if they "under perform" that contract?

3. Re-doing contracts with so many years remaining sets a bad precedent. If other players see Cribbs got his way, do they put up a stink and want their contract re-done?

I always look forward to responses from fans of the teams that try to lowball players....it always sounds like it's something from management...LOL! But I will not hold it against you because I might have said the same frontoffice bullsh**...;)

You know HD, if I wanted to talk to management, I would have asked for presser...;)

We tried the confidence boost and coddling for 3 years. In his 4th year, we finally realized his drops, attitude and excuses were enough, so we parted ways.

We've seen the drops, but no so much the attitude or excuses.

That said, the Jets will part ways with Edwards soon enough as well, but for now he's one of them...so Ryan will do anything he can to get his confidence up.

Look for the Jets to go after Brandon Marshall in the off-season.

Oh yeah, and to update the scoreboard...

Braylon Edwards playoffs.......................1-0
Cleveland playoffs.................................Not even close

And even 1-1 will be a heck of a lot better than 'Not even close!'

Not really a fair comparison.

Cleveland playoffs w/Edwards - 0.
Cleveland playoffs w/o Edwards - 0.

Cleveland playoffs - 0. Edwards is logically a "Don't Care".

I'm just following the scoreboard Skyhi was posting before he got tired of it...

Braylon Edwards playoffs is 1-0
Cleveland playoffs is 'Not even close'

I'll take it a step further because you just can't compare the two separate teams the way you're going about it. (Obviously the 2009 Jets are a better team than the Browns with or without Scissorhands). Let's look at the 2009 Browns and 2009 Jets (including playoffs) in further detail with Braylon and without Braylon......

Browns with Braylon: 0-4 (0.00 win percentage)
Browns without Braylon: 5-7 (.416 win percentage)

Jets with Braylon: 7-6 (.538 win percentage)
Jets without Braylon: 3-1 (.750 win percentage)

So you see Senorita, in both instances, the teams have been BETTER without Braylon on the team. The records and win percentages prove it. :p

Spin, spin, spin...wheeeeeee! Don't get dizzy! :D

Funny, when Skyhi was first posting records just after the trade, he didn't need spin...he just posted records. When you have to type that much to come up with an argument, your point gets diluted. But hey, but whatever helps get you through your day...;)

Braylond Edwards is in the playoffs...won a playoff game on the road...Cleveland is not...deal with it!
