SatelliteGuys.US DishNetwork Uplink Activity Discussion - Week Ending 08/18/2007

History HD. That's the one I want.
Scheduled for September 1st.
There are also "unspecified" HD channels tentatively scheduled for Sept. 15th.
My guess is that E* plans to make available whatever D* makes available (and D*'s date is Sept. 15th), but E* is dubious - for good reason - as to which of those HD channels will be really be operational by Sept. 15th.

Looking for recent reruns in HD

Discovery (including TLC, etc) has been shooting almost all of it's main line series in HD for some time. So most of the reruns of things like Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, Deadliest Catch, etc., will be worth a look if you have the disk space.

wonder why Discovery Networks is not making a bigger deal about this? There is nothing about it on their network web sites. Nat Geo makes a big deal of it.

as long as it is spelled B-I-G T-E-N N-E-T-W-O-R-K...... I don't care!
What will that look like on the uplink report???
3xx - BTN [MPEG4 HD] - EchoStar5 129W TP 27 ConUS beam changed to Not-a- chance- in- hell

According to the EPG it looks like the VOOM conversion will happen tonight. I'll post the uplink report as soon as I crawl out of the bed in the morning.

The only ones scheduled to go off air are HDNews, Rush, Ultra, KungFu, GamePlay, and Gallery. Interesting... all other data on 61.5 is also pointing to those same 6. Wonder if just those are changing tonight?

Looking into the crystal NIT ball, it makes sense that these 6 will get combined together onto one transponder tonight.

Let's see how far off I am... 61.5 TP1's contents will move to TP3. 129 TP 22 will combine with TP 17. But knowing the uplink folks they'll do some sort of crazy move instead.

Is there any way to tell the box to.....

Well, I've had better Customer Service experiences...
