SatelliteGuys.US DishNetwork Uplink Activity Discussion - Week Ending 08/18/2007

I've got the 100 package and the three channels we're supposed to get showed up shortly after 10 pm PDT, Tuesday evening: Music HD, Discovery HD and TLC HD. Lookin' good in San Francisco off of 129.

MHD on 9469 has decent 5.1 audio! Good planning putting it right next to RAVE.

I woke up this morning to find new channels. :clap I knew they were coming but I wasn't expecting them this early. I watched Sunrise Earth on Animal Planet before work.

This was a nice surprise this morning. I was hoping they would be available before MythBusters tonight.

Now I just hope that Dirty Jobs, MythBusters and Deadliest Catch are in HD.

Thank you E*!

I did notice that Animal Planet was stretching their commercials. I hope they don't do this with all their SD programming across the whole suite.

I can see the post now "'I'm coming back to Dish"' to start. Dish is still the HD Leader and MPEG4 Leader as well. :)

Since it's summertime, I am giving Comcast until early October to get these in my area. Otherwise, I believe the MDU install in my place of Dish allows for the MPEG4 channels, so I'll definitively be one of those "I'm coming back to Dish" :D

Stoopid me went to work with out checking the line up. Doh.

I checked this morning before work and was suprised to see the new channels were already turned on. Didnt think that would happen until later today. I didnt check to see if any of these channels were mapped down to the SD counterparts if there was one. i.e Animal Planet........does anyone know if they were ?

Yes, they're mapped down. Discovery, TLC, Science, Animal Planet, all mapped down.

I saw the new channels in the guide (didn't have listings yet) and they all were looking really good to my eyes. Caught something on the Science channel on string theory and 11 dimensions.

So if they haven't converted the VOOM channels to MPEG4 yet they still have room to play with. OUTSTANDING!!!

Is there any way to tell the box to.....

Well, I've had better Customer Service experiences...
