NHL 2011-12 Season

"Realignment is on hold as the NHLPA doesn't approve the plans.

NHL delays realignment after NHLPA refuses consent - NHL.com - News

Divisions and playoff format will remain the same for 2012-2013 season."

This assumes that we even have a 2012-2013 season.
I have this feeling that this is NOT a good sign on how the two sides will get along when they go into talks latter this year on a new agreement

Highly entertaining game between the Red Wings and Blackhawks last night, with the Wings coming from behind to win 3-2 in OT. Seriously, nail-biting good hockey! Of course, I don't like how the Wings have been spotting the other team 2 or 3 goals lately.

That was a very exciting game. I actually saw a bad pass from Niklas Lidstrom.

I guess not to good tonight.:D:D:popcorn

Can't believe how well Letang played his first game back since November. He was a stud. Martin...Orpik...their defense is very good.

Marc Staal...not so much, still trying to get his game back after returning at the Winter Classic from not playing since April.

The 2-1 goal was the benefit of his brain-dead pinch that resulted in a Pittsburgh 3 on 1 (laser shot from Park) and I have no clue what Staal was doing on the 3-1 goal. It's usually not a good idea to lift your skate and let the puck slide to one of the best players on the planet in your own zone...but what do I know, I'm not an all-star defenseman or anything.

Hopefully they will continue tonight since I'm going to the game.

Wings win number 17 in-a-row at home against the Blues. :)

- The NHL's longest winning streak belongs to the 1992-93 Pittsburgh Penguins who won 17 straight games.

- The 1929-30 Boston Bruins and the 1975-76 Philadelphia Flyers won 20 straight home games for the longest home win streak.

- The 2005-06 Detroit Red Wings won 11 straight away games for the longest away win streak.

I think I saw the Wings are 20-2 at home this year .... thats impressive !!!

Some ugliness for the league...Ovechkin is not happy with his three game suspension, so he pulled himself out of the All-Star game. Not good.

This one may not be over yet.
