MSG HD

For those of you who have been crabbing about the lack of MSG HD feeds this is your answer, sort of, just note it is not D*'s or E*'s fault.
It would seem to be a pissing match between the NHL and MSG.
This was posted over in the other board.

Thank you for your email. In regards to your question about MSG HD in NHL Center Ice, DirecTV does not have the contractual rights from MSG to carry the HD feed in NHL Center Ice and because of this reason, it can no longer be shown. In addition, please note that this situation is the same for all of our NHL Center Ice partners and none of them will be able to carry an MSG game in HD at this time. Sorry for the inconvenience, we hope to have this matter resolved soon.

I thought that it was Shanny who wanted to go after Yzerman retired and that the Wings wanted to keep him.

The Bruins lose to the Devils in OT, 4-3.

The B's are in the middle of their post All-Star schedule where they play the #2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 teams in the Eastern Conference.

Tuesday night they beat #2 Washington, tonight they lost to #3 New Jersey, Saturday they host #4 Rangers, Sunday they're at #5 Montreal and Tuesday they're at #6 Philly.

The Rangers are a #8-10 team masquerading as a #4. More often then not when they play a good team they get destroyed. Saturday will most likely be no different.

I thought that it was Shanny who wanted to go after Yzerman retired and that the Wings wanted to keep him.

I was starting to look this up because I don't remember exactly, I looked up Shanny and transactions , didn't find info going back that far.

However, I did find that he has come out flying , scoring 3G's and 1 A in his first 5 games back in NJ, where it all started for him.

I've always liked Shanny, at least from the time he got to St. Louis he caught my attention, of course not seeing the other conference much , I didn't know who he was earlier apparently.

This is the game I predicted the Bruins would beat the Rangers badly.

2:00 Los Angeles - Montreal

Too bad we're not getting an afternoon Hockey Night in Canada feed. But Miller and Fox are pretty good.

3:00 Anaheim - Colorado

Two teams on the outside looking in right now. Who would have thought we'd say that about these two?

7:00 Dallas - Columbus

Don't look now, but the Stars have figured it out. The BJ's are in the inside looking in right now. First ever playoff berth?

8:30 Philadelphia - St Louis

Flyers received a lot of help from video review last night. Game took three hours with all the reviews of the Lightning's ultimately non-goals.

9:00 Buffalo - Phoenix

What is going on with the Sabres, Sabres? 10-2 against a good Edmonton team, then lose handily the next game?

10:00 Minnesota - Vancouver

Hoping Jim Hughson goes home and does this game, but I doubt it. CBC will probably have him on their marquee Pens-Leafs telecast at 7 PM.

10:30 Chicago - San Jose

Another team ventures into Shark waters. Two up-tempo teams, should be an exciting game.

My new thing is putting like 4 games in real time on my laptop from NHL.com that are not in HD and watching the rest on my 32' LCD

NHL finally fixed my NHL Network blackout problem on Dishnetwork. I was getting blacked out of Wild and Blackhawks games when they were not on FSN-North or CSN-Chicago. I have no blackouts on NHL network, CI or my local RSN's at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gives me a reason not to switch to Directv now.

I have the same thoughts about the FSN Ohio crew.I can't stand Jeff Rimer ever since he was a Caps & Panthers announcer.We actually exchanged some un-pleasantries on two occasions that were not in jest.

The only way I can tolerate Islanders games was listening to Jiggs McDonald. he's been on part-time for FSN-NY but I wish he could get a full time gig. Used to love hearing him on the old Sportschannel America.
