NFL preseason 2010-2011 Official discussion thread!

Today kinda boring relative to yesterday... not much going on.

Some talk of the Browns trying to acquire Seneca Wallace, also OT Ryan Tucker announced his retirement and like HD said Fujita is visiting today.

Quinn is probably done in Cleveland unless they can't find a trade partner. He has a very low $ contract for a QB, so they may just keep him to backup whomever they bring in. Holmgren wants a veteran, and doesn't want a QB competition.

Unless they aren't able to get anyone to come play for them... then suddenly Quinn will have been 'our guy' all along.

AZ has traded a 4th and a 7th to the Jets for S Kerry Rhodes.

Thomas Jones is visiting the Chiefs Monday, Willie Parker visiting the Redskins as well.

The number of vet backs available increased by 1, as the Raiders parted ways with Justin Fargas.

Jags signed Chargers special teams pro bowler Osgood.

Holmgren has nabbed his first FA in Cleveland, OT Tony Pashos. $10m 3 year deal.

David Carr has left San Francisco without a contract, after things reported looked pretty good there. He's the only free agent QB that has met with any teams so far, with the Cardinals, Browns, and Giants still believed to be interested in his services. Only place he'd probably have a chance to start among those is Cleveland.

Atlanta is sending CB Chris Houston to Detroit for a 6th pick and swapping positions in the 5th round.

Former Raiders RB Fargas has scheduled a visit with the Chiefs. His departure from Oakland hasn't really been a smooth one, the Raiders say he didn't pass a physical so he was released. Fargas says that Cable himself told him it was a financial move and that he hasn't failed a physical. He's probably my favorite of the Oakland stable of running backs, but think I'd rather have Thomas Jones.

Steelers S Ryan Clark is in Miami vising the Dolphins

Some buzz on twitter that the Bengals have emerged as a team that may be interested in acquiring Brandon Marshall. If they're going to give someone that kind of money, I think they'd be better off going with Marshall than TO. TO just doesn't come with the trade baggage of giving up pick(s).

David Carr has agreed to terms with the 49ers.

I had a strange feeling this was gonna happen...:(

Well, now that they are gonna keep seymour at least one more year, an immediate need for a DT is not so pressing.
More than likely go with the DE out of South Florida. The guy is a freak of nature. I cannot his name to save my life!
I got more, but will do when not on a blackberry. ;-)
