Well,Tebow is a winner,and draws a crowd,so that argument is invalid

Then he should have easily won the Jets starting job because of how ineffective Sanchez was. Explain that? Hell, he wasn't even kept as a backup at Denver. IF he was as good as you say, even with the signing of Manning, why wasn't he kept as a backup?

This whole Tebow thing...whether he's a starting QB/decent QB/bad QB or can play another position.....he should atleast get a fair shot to prove either one. Like a previous poster mentioned, last time he played, he did lead Denver to the 2nd round.

Cheers, K

You dont keep 2 starting QBs on your team. Otherwise, it splits the locker room when one is having a bad game.
Besides, they got a pick out of it.

What do you mean, teams do it all the time. It's up to the QB to decide if he professional enough to accept his role. And GOOD locker room leaders squash that nonsense immediately when it comes to a split locker room.

That's easy....I have yet to hear anyone in the world accuse Rex Ryan of being a good coach.
In Rex's eyes, it was Sanchez's job and Tebow wasn't allowed to compete for it.

By doing so, he also did a disservice to Sanchez by feeding him to the wolves and splitting the locker room.

I do that one better... Rex Ryan did not want Tebow, the owner wanted him there. IF the owner thought he was worth while... he would have kept him just as easily as he signed him.

..and with as bad as he is/was/always been as a coach... he is still there.

Good locker room? We're talking about the Jets and Rex Ryan. The Kardashains are less disfunctional than them.
No QB is going to say, "gee I suck, I want to be on the bench".

Then Woody is an idiot. He should have either not traded for Tebow or put his foot down and tell Rex to play him. Either or, the Jets did more damage to Tebow then Tebow himself.

Nope... no QB will say that. But unless he gets release, that is the way it is in sports.. EVERY coach wants to be in the position where he may 2 players good enough to start in the same position.

Not gonna deny that. Case being, he was not good enough to beat a guy that was struggling big time that the QB position. And in practice(that's right, I am talking about practice), he did not show enough to earn the position.

Here is where I have to disagree. All the jets coverage I read during the season, the impression I got was TT never got a fair shot at the #1 spot (Sanchez #1, Tebow #2 and thats it).

Worse case, you shake things up for a game but Rex kept on going w/ Sanchez over and over.

Name me a team where the #2 QB is as good as the #1 QB ? In the case of San Fran and Seattle the #1 and #2 were established until injuries happened.

There was no injuries serious enough to merit a change in either case in San Fran or Seattle. Down here in Miami, there was the case of Tannehill and Matt Moore. Jax with QB situation. Tennesee with Loker over Hasselbeck. Arizona with Skelton over Kolb. There are the ones off my head. ALL were a choice of going with the unproven over the proven on a hunch. Hell, down hear, the #3 QB Devlin out played them ALL. But that does not just apply to QBs, or even just football for that matter. ALL coaches in all sports LOVE the headache of when they have 2 players that are just as good as each other.

But...there is more of a upside to Blaine And Chad has experience.

Upside? Tebow won more games in his first year starting than Blaine ever won in a season.. And tebow didnt even play a full season.. not to mention the play off win.

You cant explain the Jets stupidity. Hell they let the only player on there team who was worth a dam go with out a fight. (I mean Revis.)

Was he not good enough to beat him? Or was the coach just to stupid and to stuck on his love of Sanchez to let him even try? Tebow was 6-8 last year in passing, he was like i dunno 100-0 in 3rd down short yard conversions (exaggerating). When they put him in and let him be Tebow he succeded. When they tried to run some dumb wild cat or made him just run up the middle (with no option choice) he either made yards or didnt (just as any rb would).

Point is Rex spent all off season telling us how Sanchez was his guy, they just gave him a bazillion dollar contract, he had way to much pride built up in believing in Sanchez to even the thought of Tebow starting even a single game would of never crossed his mind. Hell even letting Tebow play a full QTR never crossed his mind.

Why? Because if Tebow got in and some how did something... Oh man Rex would never live it down. Kind of like how ol John Elway is feeling. Remember that fiasco? John hated the guy, and when Tebow would pull off some miracle win, Elway would give that little smug clap/cheer. You could tell it was painful for him. Abotu the only time it seemed genuine was when he won that play off game.

Of course when you Have Peyton Manning looking for a team, and you are John Elway no doubt who you go to no matter what. I never once questioned Denvers choice to pick Manning. Its freaking MANNING. But I do question the Jags choice for not grabbing Tebow.. Or any other team in the same boat as the jags,

Maybe Tebow isn't the best QB however,he has proven he is clutch. You can't honestly believe he isn't worthy of being a backup in the NFL.All it comes down to is TebowMania,he has been blackballed. Here is a for instance,Donte Stallworth, convicted of manslaughter, wlecomed back in the NFL.He was never that good, yet he keeps getting chances.Give me a player with solid morals, who is passionate about the game, and isn't just about the money.

Laugh all you want but I am sure from the NFL scouts, 99.9% would agree with me.

Who are these scouts? The same ones who said Jamarcus Russell should be the #1 pick, Ryan Leaf the #2 pick, Tim Couch, David Carr, Akili Smith and on and on. Those scouts? The same ones who had Brady in the sixth round? Yeah they know everything.
