Former Lions WR Titus Young, still hasn't learned anything ...

He was Arrested again, this time for suspicion of DUI, they hours later arrested again (thats TWICE in the same day !) for STEALING HIS CAR back from the IMPOUNDING LOT. :facepalm

Now, make it three times in one week....

Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young was arrested for the third time in less than a week on Friday evening.

According to Josh Katzenstein of The Detroit News, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department revealed the 23-year-old was charged with burglary, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest
Titus Young Arrested for 3rd Time in Past Week

So let me get this straight it's ok to talk about basically a thug,in Titus Young, who is also as of this moment out of the NFL,but not cool to talk about Tim Tebow? Also what does Titus Young getting arrested have to do with NFL transactions,or offseason notes?Folks disdain for Tebow is beyond me.

The clear difference I see is that with Young it is simply a matter of reporting news. There's no endless discussion over whether or not he's good enough to play in the NFL, why there seems to be an agenda against him, how he got screwed by his last team, etc.

With Tebow, I look at it this way: It's easy to say Tebow should be on an NFL roster right now. But, the real test might be, as a fan, would I want him on my favorite team?? My answer would be a resounding no.

Winner, winner chicken dinner!

Here is an interesting development, the Carolina Panthers have signed the number one overall pick in the CFL draft, stealing him from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Nice, hope he can add some depth to the line. Most prognosticators seem to think Carolina will be lucky to win 6 games this season.I'm hoping for 9-10,they do have a brutal schedule though.

I hate to break my vow of posting about Tebow here, unless it is NEWSWORTHY,but........the one thing I'm taking from this article that I'm linking is how did I miss the job offer that Tebow received from the Lingerie Football League?

OK,found clarification on the Lingerie Football League offer,it was for him to become their Quarterbacks Coach nationally.

Middle linebacker Rolando McClain is retiring from the NFL at the age of 23, less than a month after signing a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens, general manager Ozzie Newsome announced Wednesday.

McClain was signed on April 12 as the potential replacement for Ray Lewis but was arrested 10 days later in his hometown of Decatur, Ala., for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. This was the third arrest in 11 months for the former first-round pick by the Oakland Raiders.

A source, said Garrard told him he was done due to his knees.Basically same thing happened to him in Miami.

Leaving ?

Vs, going in to the training room and getting rehab ?

actually he's retiring. when he was injured while with miami he was just moving around. guess that knee is done.....

He could have failed a physical or something and that's why he was cut. I don't see the grounds for a lawsuit.

Edit: what i meant is i understand the whole disability angle, but there's probably a reason why we've only heard his agent's side of things.

Yeah, even his agent is now quoted as saying he "should be fine in a couple of weeks" - if he can't pass a physical and this hasn't been given permanent disability status I don't see the Pats as being in the wrong here. Still only getting one side of the story but even his side has some pretty big cracks in it.
