Patriots release defensive tackle Kyle Love after diabetes diagnosis

If I were the Broncos,I'd sign him to replace Elvis Dumervil. Maybe he'll be cheaper than signing Dwight Freeney. Diabetes can be managed.

I love the Pats. IMO, BB is one of the greatest coaches of all time, but after reading this, am rating him as one of the worse human beings of all time too.
Unreal and disgusting!

They drafted a guy a couple years ago named Marcus Cannon, check out that story. But that will never get the traction this will.

It's also being reported that they asked him to retire for a year, he didn't want to so they cut him. It's going to be hard to keep the weight on and stay healthy with diabetes.

Now,that is true.

I would imagine there are others playing that are also diabetic.

Now, there are various different degrees of diabetic's not all are the same.

Diabetic Kyle Love claimed by the Jags.

The thing is that he needs to keep his blood sugar under control. He has to watch out for both nerve pain & nerve damage to his feet. I imagine that he'll need to get prescription cleats for diabetics to prevent blisters among other things. As long as he can keep his blood sugar under control & eat properly,he should be fine, without the complications that come with diabetes. He also could probably control his diabetes with just diet alone.

In football it is a whole lot easier to control then say basketball since in football you get breaks from being on the field.

Raiders signed Josh Cribbs. Nice pick-up for the cheap and a experienced WR and Special Teams...maybe helping in keeping Jacoby Ford healthy. They also signed released punter Chris Kluwe. Though I doubt he will be out the kid we have had sitting in injured reserved/practice squad, Marquette King.

Unable to even get a sniff from teams this offseason, Brian Urlacher has retired.

Really hate that.I would have figured he could have contributed somewhere.

Charles Woodson comes back "home" to Oakland. His skills might have dimished, but seeing that the Raiders have a very young secondary, this was more of a combo PR move and player/coach move for the Raiders. I like it because of the latter, there is a Safety spot open on the team and finally, the moron in Denver, Champ Bailey can eat his twitter words.."NO FRIGGIN' WAY he ends up back in Oakland...!" ;)

This kinda says it all...

"After spending a lot of time this spring thinking about my NFL future, I have made a decision to retire," Urlacher said in a statement he posted on Twitter. "Although I could continue playing, I'm not sure I would bring a level of performance or passion that's up to my standards. When considering this along with the fact I could retire after a 13-year career wearing only one jersey for such a storied franchise, my decision became pretty clear."
