That is the point. Its not rather or not Tebow is a great or good NFL qb.. Its what is in the best interest of the Jags. Our opinion on Tebows NFL ability is irrelevant. Because frankly Blaine Gabbart has not got it done and no one at jacksonville has. So football is obviously not a priority there.

IF football was not a priority, that team would be in Los Angeles. You are assuming a BUNCH of things for your love of Tebow.

Put aside the media... completely. There isn't a single NFL scout that I have seen or read...not one, that thinks he is a good enough to be a NFL QB and the ONLY reason he was signed in NY was because of publicity. They would have kept him if they thought otherwise.

I know there is a circus when it comes to Tebow but, give the guy a chance to play.League minimum salary,if he works great if he doesn't nothing lost.

I started a thread about this in the Pit,because Tebow is soooooo controversial, whether he deserves it or not. Probably the best thing for him is to go to the Montreal Alouettes, because French is the primary language of Quebec,& they most likely wouldn't know about his "'circus' followers" or could care less about it if they did. It's times like this that it's a shame that NFL Europe went out of business.

This is what I was thinking a few weeks back.

You know,it's sad to me that convicted felons are welcomed back to the NFL with open arms, meanwhile a man who has a following because of his faith,is basically an outcast. And,when I say convicted felons, there were at least 2 that were murderers.Sad to say the least.

I don't care about some people. Tebow isn't a NFL caliber QB and he'd be worse than who JAX has now. How many wins has the Jags defense ever carried their team to when the QB is only able to muster 2 completions?

People love to bring up that some how the Defense won everything in Denver...

But they can not explain how that same defense with Kyle Orton was 1-4 and the year before with Orton won only 4 games all season..

Something changed about Oct 23 2011 in Denver where a team that had won just 5 games, in the last season + 4 games.. The Quaterback. The way the offense handled the game. The way it was slowed down etc.

Under Orton the team sucked. Under Team they won 8 games. Under the legend that is Peyton Manning they won 13. Seems to me Tebow certainly was better than Orton. Yet no one seems to be wondering why he still is in the NFL....

Insider is clearly just pushing any agenda that allows for Tebow to continue in the NFL is all.

I have no Agenda. It will not affect my life in any way if Tebow is or is not in the NFL. However being that this is a sports thread and we are talking about the NFL I am simply stating my opinion. One that is based in reason and logic. Jacksonville hasnt had a sell out in who knows when. They tarp off their end zones because no one is there. Blaine Gabbart sucks, and will suck again next year. The team sucks and will suck again next year.

Throw in Tebow and you at the very least fill the stadium. Run the offense to Tebows strengths and no doubt you will win more games this year than you did last year. And if he flops and you suck even worse what did you lose? Absolutely nothing. You needed to get rid of Gabbart anyway, and now you have a great draft position to find your next QB. And you made more money this season then you have in a very long time. When Tebow was a Back up QB in Denver and even for a brief time as the back up for the NYJ he sold more jerseys than any other player. Heck he sold more Jerseys himself than the entire Jacksonville team.

So there is 0 negative impact for bringing Tebow in, and only positive.

You know who has agendas?

Everyone.

Especially those who say they don't have an agenda.

My agenda is I like Tim, he went to my school and I hate John Elway.

More than likely, that "convicted felon" has a better chance to help the team win than someone who is a good person. Let's face facts here... Owners want to win, plain and simple. From winning come crowds and from crowds come more money.

Sorry, but in the microwave society, the patients will last three games max. After three games, if he has not won both, they will turn on him fast. And you have then done more harm than good. Also, you are assuming the Jags defense was as good as Denver...sorry, no where near it. You are also assuming he will sellout every home game....and I doubt that highly. He may sell out the first couple games, but if they don't win, forget it.

Well,Tebow is a winner,and draws a crowd,so that argument is invalid

personally i couldn't care less about what he or any other player does in their private lives. i don't think that is what has folks turned off but the annoying attention tebow draws for some inexplicable reason. if he wants a real shot he's gotta head to the Canadian league. wouldn't be the 1st guy to do so and won't be the last. that's his real opportunity to either prove he can or can't. i have seen nothing that tells me he will ever succeed but that doesn't mean i hope he fails either.
