I see nothing's changed in Shawn Rogers life, now in Cleveland and STILL not playing ... this is the "Show us what you got Week", so you would think he'd be in there.
As entertaining as the Raiders game was, looking forward to Jay Cutler's return to Denver Sunday night on NBC. A hard sack will probably be the high point for Denver's year.
Cassel injured 3 plays into the Chiefs game, Thigpen (rumored to being pursued by the Jags but no trade happened because we want a 3rd for him, they're offering a 5th) replacing him.
Mare and Succop(Mr. Irrelevant 2009) have both missed kicks from < 30 yards. Sheesh.

Initial news on Cassel is it's a light sprain, should be back next week. Hopefully that diagnosis doesn't change.
Thigpen played horribad, we'll see if anyone wants to trade for him now, and bigger concern now is our good young CB Brandon Flowers hurt his shoulder and has been away from the sideline since the middle of the first half (typing this with 13:00 left in the game). He opened the game with a pick 6.

Continuing previous reports, Adam Teicher, of The Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel (left leg) was injured on the third play from scrimmage on his first pass attempt. He was sacked on the play, limped back to the huddle and then to the line of scrimmage to run the next play. However, before the snap he called a time out and walked directly into the locker room.
The Associated Press reports Oakland Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha (wrist) suffered a chip fracture in his left wrist during the team's preseason game Saturday, Aug. 29. Head coach Tom Cable said Asomugha may not miss much time.

As far as the game, it's not a big deal, it's still pre season and he's very young and inexperienced.
Being the # 1 pick, everything I've heard, he's cool under pressure, well see ....
Didn't see yesterday's game, but the game between the Browns/Lions, he looked awful. Missing targets by 4-5 yards at a time. Of course, he is still young and should grow into the roll. Plus, it's preseason....

EVERYTHING they did yesterday, did not work. The team looked totally UNPREPAIRED for what New Orleans had for them. There is still a glaring problem in the middle of the defensive line that the Raiders have not addressed since Warren Sapp left, a plug in the middle of that line to stop the run. The Raiders have done nothing in either free agency nor by way of draft. The offense was completely out of sync.
THANK GOD they have one more preseason game to SOMEWHAT patch that problem. This game looked very similar to the Raiders 1st game of the season against the Boncos.

Salsa, how did Jarmacus look? I've always thought he was just purely raw talent and wouldn't have the smarts to be an effective NFL QB. So far he's done about what I've expected.
He looked fine. Got rushed quite a bit...but made good decisions and decent throws. But the offense was completely not together. They looked unprepared.
