NFL 2009-10 Season

Nah, Chiefs were always gunning for OT/DT. Anything to the contrary was to bait teams into a trade. We need WR depth behind Bowe, but had much bigger needs.

The Raiders have released CB Ricky Manning Jr. to open a roster spot for LB Napoleon Harris. Also re-signed one of their other safeties (S Rashad Baker) last week because their other reach in the draft (S Michael Michell) has been hurt and hasn't been able to practice or play in a couple weeks.

I have to disagree because he was heavily rumored to be picked either by YOUR Chiefs or the Seahawks at #5. He would have bitched and complained he should have gotten top 5 money....

...he was notoriously known for being an arrogant jerk with a bad attitude..and NOW by willing to holdout until NEXT YEAR is proving that point precisely.

Holding out until next year might be the dumbest thing he could do. 1 he would not make any money this year and 2 no one is going to pick him that high next year now that they know the full extent of his attitude problem. Plus, he will not be eligible for free agency for another year. What kind of idiot does he have advising him, his cousin?

2 Cowboys assistants are suing the company that built the facility that collapsed during a windstorm in May. They are the 2 most seriously injured, one paralyzed from the waist down, the other with a broken vertebra.

Former Dolphins DL T.J. Turner has died of complications from a stroke. He was 46.

what is it with WR's? It would be a shorter list to name the ones that aren't Prima -donas.

Mark Sanchez Named Starting QB for Jets!

What the football world expected became reality Wednesday when the Jets' quarterbacks were informed that Mark Sanchez is the new starter, team sources confirmed to ESPN.

Amen to that. Besides Wes Welker, I can't think of a WR that's NOT a Diva!

Position of prominence that does not require the intelligence of a QB... just attracts that kind of person.

Kinda like reality TV.

Hines Ward

Andre Johnson is a STUD. And you never hear a peep of self promotion out of him.

Another good one. :up

Calvin Johnson is looking like another example. He's on that wretched Detroit team, yet you never hear him complain. He just goes out and plays his ass off each Sunday.

Like I said, it's a short list. I'll add Fitzgerald. That makes 5, I'm sure there are more, but not many more.

Civil Rights Group Planning March for Vick Thursday...

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia chapter of the NAACP, the Black Clergy of Philadelphia and other local civil rights groups are planning a massive demonstration to support Michael Vick at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday, when Vick is expected to make his debut with the Eagles.

People who defend people solely on the color of their skin are a big part of the reason why we still have racial divide in this country.

Yeah because we know that racism has been completely vanquished from every day life....:rolleyes::rolleyes:

But that is a political debate and not to be discussed in the Sports Forum.

Why has race entered into this???

I have not seen that they have said this is an issue of skin color. This is about someone sticking up for Vick.

We believe Michael Vick has served his time, paid his debt to society and deserves a second chance and the animal rights groups want to hold him hostage for the rest of his life.

And to a certain extent.....he has a point.

Well, im pretty sure they didn't beat some white Christian group to the punch with their 'go go Mike Vick, you're the man' rally

Will not get into this debate....not the place. But the article says they are there to stick up for the man.....not the color. What did you say to Vurbano about debating facts again?

"We think that's patently unfair. It denies Michael Vick's basic civil rights, denies him his ability to make a living."

NAACP has a history of sticking up for people of all races. Last time I check, the some of founders were white.....;)

He has had WAY more than 2 chances already.....
