Prosecutor considers whether to charge Cable | ProFootballTalk.com

In the hands of the DA, with the likely debate for charging him is if the physical act that they know Cable did per reports and interviews was intended to cause the harm necessary to warrant a felony charge.

Even if he's not charged, likely will face some discipline for the league. Being charged would likely just speed that up. Cable will probably meet with the commish this week since the Raiders are in NY.

Maybe we will get lucky enough to get him suspended and someone ELSE will do the play calling.....that way, we can keep the deficit from 3 TDs to 2 or maybe even 1...

[ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/nfl/news/story?id=4542936"]Source: New England Patriots' Fred Taylor has ankle surgery - ESPN Boston[/ame], Patriots running back Fred Taylor will have surgery on his injured right ankle. The surgery is not expected to sideline Taylor for the remainder of the season. In Sunday's 27-21 victory over the Ravens, Taylor injured the ankle near the end of the fourth quarter. He hobbled off the field and has been held out of practice all week. Visit the It Is What It Is blog for more information as this story develops.

I'm hoping to see more of Benjarvus Green-Eliis now. The kid has impressed whenever he gets in there.

Hopefully Belichick goes with Sammy Morris, Kevin Faulk and Green-Ellis with Taylor out. Laurence Maroney can't cut it!

Interesting thing I noticed today. Checking out standings and points given up I saw the Lions have given up 134 points this year. In Four Games!

That stat is amazing to me, for the simple fact the Lions actually seem to be playing better then last year. 1 win for the record.

But, they are actually playing worse, on defense at least. 33.5 points per game given up, for a total of 536, will set the NFL record currently held by, you guessed it the 1981 Baltimore Colts(533).

Thought it was the 2008 Lions didn't you? So did I. 517 points last year.

So, while it appears that these Lions might actually be better, different, more, or whatever, on paper it appears that they are actually the same. :(

It's messing up the stats because their games are somewhat shootouts I think, teams are throwing and getting more offensive opportunities. It's not as bad as it looks, but they're not an overnight success either.

Are my eyes deceiving me or does Detroit actually get to show a home game locally on Sunday vs. Pittsburgh?

Did WWJ (CBS affiliate) pick up the tab on the unsold tickets so they could say "see...at least WE get to ahow a home game" :)

Probably Steeler fans making the trip !

They had a good time last time in Detroit :D

There was only like 1500 tickets as of Wednesday, so I figured they would get sold, usually a company comes thru and gives them out when it's that few.

Right now, the ENTIRE Raiders offensive line is injured....not a single original starter. Not an excuse, but that is awful.

No wonder we have the best punter since Ray Guy(a Raider), NO OTHER PUNTER has had more practice and on-the-job-training than he has!

NCAA proposes tough taunting, concussion rules

Is it possible to watch MLB.TV on a TV?
