NFL 2009-10 Season

The Eagles have cut WR Hank Baskett to make room for an activated Mike Vick. He'll now be able to practice this week, to prepare for perhaps a game 3 start when he's first allowed to play again.

uh oh. Didn't him and Kendra Wilkerson just have a baby? Not good. Daddy won't be bringing home a paycheck any more. :(

The Saints players who took Starcaps are not going to be suspended unless when the legal stuff is over the NFL is allowed to suspend all who had taken them. They don't want to apply uneven punishment to players for the same thing. They also attacked the union (again) for agreeing to these policies and then fighting the league instead of working with it every inch of the way.

Just heard a mind blowing statistic on Sirius NFL.....

In the last 22 series', Jake Delhomme has 11 turnovers (9 interceptions and 2 fumbles). That means he turns the ball over 50% of the time! Last year, there were multiple QB's who didn't throw more than 9 interceptions the entire year, let alone in 22 series'!

It's getting to the point where "Delhomme" might just be French for interception!

50% is a bit high... you mean he turns it over to end 50% of his most recent series, he was at like 9 picks over 50-60 attempts I think.

Cassel and Flowers particpated fully in practice today, looks like the Chiefs will have all of their starters + Bobby Wade for their home opener against the Raiders, barring injuries in practice this week.

Yes. When Carolina takes possession, Delhomme ends up turning the ball over 50% of the time.

Seahawks have lost LB LeRoy Hill for a bit. Sounds painful.

"pretty significant groin injury."

Seahawks coach Jim Mora indicated Wednesday that the injury is worse than originally feared. Hill is expected to be out through Seattle's Week Seven bye; Hill will "potentially" require surgery.

"There's a slight tear or some type of pull off the bone of one of the tendons," Mora said. "It's similar to a lot of injury that a lot of hockey players get."

Jags will be blacked out locally, they didn't bother asking for a 24hr extension to sell the 17,000 seats remaining available.

Lions and Chargers have 24 hours to sell out their venues. Lions have 1700 left, not sure about Chargers.

One injury expert expects Croyle to start for the Chiefs against Oakland. They then pointed out it wasn't Croyle who lost the game for the Chiefs (he had one of the best games of his career), but their defense.

Bolts have 1100 tickets left to sell by tomorrow. Can't believe they can't sell out for the Ravens.
