NFL 2009-10 Season

I'm starting to think that's not going to be that great of a game, Chargers had protection issues before their Oline collapsed to a lax offseason program and soft coaching. Veteran players making clutch plays against a soft defense got them out of that mess, it won't be as easy to repeat against a better offense and defense that they'll face in the Ravens.

Now that the Ravens have an offense, they're going to be a very tough team to beat. I give the Ravens a 3 point edge in this game (but my heart is with the Bolts :)).

And to think, the Lions could have had Andre Johnson...

And Adrian Peterson...

Yeah, and in the 60's Don Shula was on our coaching staff too.... The mistakes of this franchise could fill a book. The only reason we ended up with Barry Sanders was because Green Bay made one of the monumental F-ups of drafting history.

THE DETROIT LIONS - REBUILDING SINCE 1957!

Jags will be blacked out locally, they didn't bother asking for a 24hr extension to sell the 17,000 seats remaining available.

Lions and Chargers have 24 hours to sell out their venues. Lions have 1700 left, not sure about Chargers.
...
Chargers sell out, avoid blackout against the Ravens this week.

Lions have also avoided a blackout.

LT ruled out for game vs Ravens.

From PFT -

Tomlinson has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Ravens, due to an ankle injury suffered on Monday night against the Raiders.

Also out for the Chargers with an ankle injury is center Nick Hardwick, along with defensive end Travis Johnson (groin).

Linebacker Antwan Applewhite (hamstring), guard Louis Vasquez (knee), and defensive tackle Jamal Willams (arm) are questionable. Tackle Marcus McNeill (hand) and punter Mike Scifres (groin) are probable.

Now I am FURIOUS that my Fantasy Draft autopicked him.

I was going to take Brees, but my Internet Connection went out.

Chargers send Jamal Williams to IR

Three Chargers players -- running back LaDanian Tomlinson, center Nick Hardwick, and defensive lineman Travis Johnson -- are out for Sunday's game.

Another member of the team will be out for the entire year.

In a surprising move, the Chargers have placed defensive tackle Jamal Williams on injured reserve, with a triceps injury.

The team announced the move moments ago.

Williams had been listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens, due to an elbow injury.

Defensive end Andre Coleman has been elevated from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

A 12-year veteran, Williams has been a fixture on the Chargers defensive line for a decade.

The move creates a gaping hole in the center of the team's 3-4 defense. With Johnson out, the only other defensive tackle listed on the roster is Ogemdi Nwagbuo.

No available free agents are coming to mind (other than 4-3 tackle William Joseph), so the Chargers might have to swing a trade. Even then, those large (to put it kindly) men who clog the middle are precious commodities.

I could see many teams will be recruiting for a 3-4 DT next year, many teams need it, thats an advantage you should have, otherwise you have to convert to a 4-3 defense where it might open up many passing lanes for QB's.
Patriots and few other teams have a leverage.
Good thing we let Seymour go so we can save up some cap space to resign Wilfork next year.
This guys are precious. Look at Fat Albert in Washington..
