NFL 2008-09 Season

I bet this helps ease the disappointment from last night. With Pats playing well tonight and the Celtics about to start up again you people in Boston don't have much time to feel sorry for yourselves. :)

Yup. Cavs-Celtics opener next Tuesday night.

Banner #17 goes to the rafters.:)

I don't ever recall a year where the divisions are so black and white.

The divisions are either very good (or great), or pitiful.

The Haves (in order of strength):

1. NFC East (one of the best EVER)
2. AFC South
3. NFC South
4. AFC East

The Have-Nots (in order of weakness):

1. NFC West (one of the worst EVER)
2. AFC West
3. NFC North
4. AFC North

Have you ever heard of the Detroit Lions ?
You should know that by now !
The 0-6 Lions, shooting for a goal of 0-16.
They are perfect so far !

Jimbo
Jimbo,
I was actually waiting for that. LOL :D

I don't seriously think that the Broncos are the worst team in the NFL.

I was just pointing out how pitiful they have looked tonight. :)

Honestly I think the Chiefs are the worst team in the league. Did you see they allowed 330 rushing yards to Tennessee yesterday? Get those defensive players some skirts.

Dear Mr. Belichick,

Could you please just hand the ball off to Sammy Morris on every down? Otherwise, I have my doubts that young Mr. Cassel will make it out of Foxboro alive tonight.

This is exactly why, in my random thoughts thread, I said the following:

you know how Sandra runs triathlons? If she ran against the Chiefs defense, after what I saw the Titans do yesterday, she'd run for 300 yards in the first half. You'd think she was the second coming of Jim Brown!

LMAO!!:D

Seriously,
I knew that Chiefs team was going down the tubes two years ago when they made the playoffs.

I said it then and I'll say it again, that Chiefs team that lost to the Colts in the '06 playoffs, were the worst playoff team I've seen in 30 years watching the NFL.

This game is done.....Boy what a bunch of Up and Down games by so many teams this year....so without further delay:

My Week 8 HOT 10:

1. Tennessee
2. Pittsburgh
3. Buffalo
4. NY Giants
5. Washington
6. Arizona
7. Carolina
8. Atlanta
9. Chicago
10. New England

NOT 10:

10. Miami
9. St. Louis
8. Houston
7. Oakland
6. Cleveland
5. San Francisco
4 .Seattle
3. Kansas City
2. Cincinnati
1. Detroit

Great, so what was once a strength is now a weakness:

Laurence Maroney-out for the year

Lamont Jordan-out for his second straight game

Sammy Morris-doubtful to come back in the second half......after a great first half.

All this and Cassel is getting killed.

Ooops........TD Moss!!!!!!

that Chiefs team that lost to the Colts in the '06 playoffs, were the worst playoff team I've seen in 30 years watching the NFL.

That is quite the assessment.

Personally, I thought the worst NFL Playoff teams ever were:

The 1999 Dolphins, a 9-7 team that finish THIRD in their own division and got annihilated 62-7 in Jacksonville.

The 2002 Colts who got obliterated 41-0 by the Jets

The 2003 and 2004 Broncos, which lost to the Colts by scores of 41-10 and 49-24.
