NFL 2008-09 Season

I actually think the Lions have a legitamite shot at winning this weekend.

They play the Bears at home. "The Bottle" doesn't play as well on the road and DT, Tommy Harris and CB, Charles Tillman are out with injuries. Both should favor the Lions. This will be the best shot at a win for a while IMO.

I HAVE the Lions defeating the Bears on Sunday.

You guy's have been drinking the Millen Kool-Aid.:D

OK, they do have a shot here, I even said so myself earlier. For the record, I bet against them.

Panthers post a goose egg on the Chiefs. I tell ya I'm in sports nirvana right now and basketball season hasn't even started yet.

Colts got the game handed to them on a platter.

Two bad fumbles and a BLOWN CALL. Wayne was out of bounds on that TD grab.

Colts are the luckiest team on the face of the Earth!

Oh, and those damn Redskins are 4-1.

THIS IS A TERRIBLE FOOTBALL DAY FOR ME ALREADY!!

Thoughts on the early Sunday Games.

1)The Chargers are dysfunctional again, ie. they need their heads checked.

2)Looks like I was right about the Redskins, and the Eagles.

3) Sage Rosenfels is the goat of the week and the Colts are very lucky, again.

4) Who would have guessed that the biggest winner of the Farve mess are the Dolphins in getting Pennington.

5)It's not Rodgers fault that Green Bay is losing, it's the lack of a running game that's doing them in.

6)Titans are living with Defense.

After the Michael Vick/Bobby Petrino debacle that was the Falcons season last year, could they have drafted ANYONE better than Matt Ryan? I wonder where all those people are now that said he'd be a bust and that Colt Brennan  was the best QB available?

Remember kids pay attention to the college teams that run pro offenses and IGNORE all the teams that run gimmicky spread offenses because it doesn't mean jack in the NFL.

Brennan hasn't had a chance to start yet with the way Campbell's playing.

Oh, and can we say Ryan Grant was a one-hit wonder?

Nor will he get one any time soon. Colt Brennan will be coming to the Arena League in the near future.

Granted it was the pre-season, but Colt Brennan did play very well in those games. He at least for now showed he belongs in the NFL. I don't think he's a starting QB, but for a 6th round pick he did show potential to develop into one.

Thoughts on the late Sunday games:

1) Bengals don't take advantage of it's chances, Cowboys do just enough to win.

2) Cardinals starting to remind me of Seahawks, dominate at home, dismal on the road.

3)Tampa's lack of playmakers killed them at Denver, neither Griese nor Garcia the answer.

4) Patriots are lurking....look out AFC.

Now, it's up to the Titans and G-Men to prevent those bitter Dolphins from popping the champagne.

As for the 1976 Bucs, they might have some trouble- 4 winless teams, and they don't have winable games ahead of them (Rams visit Washington next week)
