NFL 2008-09 Season

How big do you think that tie the Eagles had against Cincy will be in the playoff race? Philly hosts Dallas in Week 17. Amazing that the Eagles could make the playoffs when they couldn't even beat the Bungles. That game should count as 2 losses.

I was thinking this last night. that stupid tie is going to come back to haunt the eagles at the end.

Week 15 Tuesday Morning QB with HD MM

1. Last night's Monday Night game was the first Browns game I can remember in recent memory that I didn't watch all the way through. This season has been a HUGE disappointment on so many different levels. Instead of the Browns, I tuned into Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on the Food Network.

2. A few weeks ago, the Titans and Giants appeared to be the Powerhouses of their respective conferences. Now, each team will be limping into the playoffs. Not exactly the type of momentum ideal for the postseason....

3. Finally the Chiefs are somewhat competitive in running this new spread offense attack. Then their President/GM/CEO quits. Another "shot to the groin" for a once respected franchise.

4. Has anyone fallen quicker from graces than Jim Zorn? At the beginning of the year he was this fresh face with new ideas and was in line for the Coach of the Year award. Now he's saying to the media that he feels "like the worst coach in America," and will most likely be fighting for a job next year after an embarrassing loss to the Bengals.

5. Ok guys, I have to ask, did the Ravens get screwed or what on that TD reversal call? How lucky are the Steelers? Was there really enough conclusive evidence that the ball crossed the plain? Really? Maybe this was karma paying back a Ravens team who stole a once proud franchise from Cleveland.

6. This weeks win against the Giants was the most important game of the year for the Cowboys. All the talk about TO feuding with Witten and Romo. All the talk of Romo not being able to win the big game. Surely things would've came to a head in the locker room had Dallas not won that game to keep them in the playoff hunt. Once again, winning cures everything.

7. The Miami Dolphins are on pace to set an NFL record for fewest turnovers in a season. The Dolphins success has to be the biggest surprise of the season.

8. The Jets had no business winning their game. The incompetence of JP Lossman is mind boggling. Under no circumstance can you turn the ball over when your trying to run out the clock! What happened to the once proud 4-0 Bills?

9. Speaking of the Bills. Despite going on a 1-7 slide that put the Bills out of the playoffs, coach Dick Jauron was awarded with a contract extension. Marv Levy surely wouldn't approve of this decision.

10. My player of the week has to go to Matt Cassel of the Patriots. He threw for a career high 4 TD's. But that wasn't the most impressive part. Cassel remained sharp after missing time earlier in the week when his father passed away. He received a warm hug from coach Bill Belichick following the victory. A heart felt victory indeed for the Cassel family.

#1 - Welcome to MY world.

#4 - How quickly they turn on you.

#7 - I'm impressed with Atlanta also. Think back a year ago - Coach quits, Vick is killing dogs....

#8 - Count the Jets in also on the list of teams limping to the playoffs. A lot of people were calling them the class of the AFC after they beat Tennessee. Now they may be lucky to reach the post-season.

#10 - You have to be impressed with Bellicheck's coaching. Maybe Brady is expendable? (Just spit-ballin').

MVP caliber performance. If the prize winner wasn't clear last week, it sure is now. Engrave Manning's name on the trophy already!

:up. i'm still wondering why some are still considering Favre for that honor this season.
