NFL 2008-09 Season

Chiefs GM Carl Peterson resigns - Kansas City Star

20 years of mostly respectable Chiefs football wiped out with one ugly 1:13 yesterday.

BTW, HD, care to give us your 'Monday Morning Quarterback?'

Someone does read my "Monday Morning QB Thoughts"!!! Cool!

BTW, I am waiting for tomorrow to do my weekly thoughts as I want to include thoughts on tonights game. Check back tomorrow around lunch time.....

Hopefully, someone besides me probably paid attention to the stunning finish between the Chargers and Chiefs.

Big Pat Williams out for the Vikes

broke his scapula and is out 2-6 weeks

You should be lucky they at least have Kevin Williams.

Still, Vikes have a tough assignment- stopping this guy:

Alright guys,

I can't go through the day without bringing up tonight's Monday Night Football game featuring my Cleveland Browns vs. Philadelphia Eagles.

I know our season is in disarray and I said after the week 12 game against Houston that we wouldn't win another game this year (so far I've been accurate). I know we are onto our 3rd QB (Ken Dorsey) and without TE Kellen Winslow again, but is there any reason to believe in my Browns tonight?

The only thing I can think of is that we're undefeated (2-0) in Monday Night Games this year.....
Last week we got a great game between 2 teams that matter. Tonight.... This has the makings of the Jags-Texans game 2 weeks ago. Roger Goodell should make a new rule that the Browns can't be on national TV more than twice per season.

Why? Primetime is the only time this injury ridden team is competitive.

The Browns won both Monday Night games this year (Giants in Week 6 and Bills in Week 11).

Plus, their two Sunday Night games came down to the final play. (Steelers in Week 2 Broncos in Week 10).

If anything, Washington should not be on primetime.

Got bitchslapped by the Steelers on Monday night and the Ravens last Sunday, and did nothing after their opening drive offensively against Dallas a month ago.

HD- I love ya, you're my buddy, but I think this game may get ugly.

I would like to see the Browns win, but I don't like their odds.

Me neither Sabres. I am a huge all-Cleveland guy, but these Browns are just too injury riddled to compete tonight. I'll root like hell for my Brownies, but deep down, I've already shifted my thinking towards their 2009 season.

Remember Wide Right Take 2 during week 11's Monday Night Game?

Exactly!

Dawson has made long and difficult kicks (see that wacky field-goal against the Ravens last year, the snowy kick against the Bills a year ago, and the 50+ yarder to beat Buffalo on Monday Night), while Lindell can't make the easy, short ones (Two chip-shot misses against the 49ers).
