NFL 2008-09 Season

My Week 10- Bottom 10:

32. Detroit
31. Kansas City
30. St. Louis
29. Seattle
28. Cincinnati
27. Oakland
26. San Francisco
25. Houston
24. Cleveland
23. New Orleans

I'm happy Arizona won, but don't think I'll diss the 49ers.

They played with a lot of heart and effort.

If anyone saw that play where Shaun Hill ran for the first down and his helmet flew off, that was TOUGHNESS personified.

Singletary will be around for a long, long time with players who show toughness like that.

That was a terrible play call at the end of the game. Almost anything else would have been better. A fullback dive from the 3? Are you kidding me? If they threw it the Cardinals probably would have been flagged for interference.

Only after running a pick six back 103 yards. :D

This game got more posts on this thread and interest from us than the previous two Monday Night games.

I could count the number of posts we had for Colts/Titans and Steelers/Redskins on my hand.

And WHY is that ?

This game was like a car wreck, you had to stop and see , just to see what happened.

Will there be post about these teams NEXT week ..... Doubtful :shocked

Can ESPN flex out of that? How many Browns games do we have to be subjected to?

No, ESPN isn't flexing out of that game. I'm actually expecting a good game next Monday. If this week was the battle of the West Coast, next week will be an epic East Coast battle.

And to answer your question, after next Monday, the Browns have 1 more nationally televised game left. Week 15 @ Philadelphia on Monday night.

the other thing i didn't like about this game was the poor clock management by the 49ers at the end there. I am happy to see the cards win. Give the folks there something to cheer about.

Does the NFL give "comeback player of the year" awards like the MLB?

Yes.

I do agree with Bill on many things about Arizona- they've had a bad history, lack of success, they play in a bad division.

One thing we can agree on- their recievers (Boldin, Fitzgerald, Breaston) are great.

BTW, why is it that wide recievers drafted by the Lions flame out, yet wideouts drafted by the Arizona Cardinals turn into very good players?

Neither franchise has had a great history, yet one team has good wideouts, yet the other doesn't.

An offensive line that can give QB's time to throw. (Not to mention a QB with NFL quality talent). Plus a running attack that somebody actually respects. Last time I checked the Lions didn't have any of this.

NFC South showdown moved due to flexible scheduling

So much for the NFL possibly putting a more MEANINGFUL game on Sunday night.

Instead of a meaningful game with divisional implications, NBC is shoving Peyton Manning down our throats AGAIN!

Two teams that are barely at .500 get the primetime slot over teams with better records?

NOT THE RIGHT DECISION, NFL!

Colts/Bolts has teams barely treading water, but we all know that the NFL is obsessed with putting Peyton on primetime all the time!
