If you keep having to tell people that you're the "greatest rivalry in sports" than you know you're not.

I don't know about all of sports, bit in college football it probably is Auburn/Alabama.

I wouldnt put Auburn v Bama in the top. I mean in the last 2 decades that game only mattered once. and when it mattered Auburn won and went on to win the NC.

Like others have said. It depends on where you are and really who you cheer for.

IMO, it's the Iron Bowl. For me, it's not even close.

I agree with that, it's all about who you cheer for and where you're from.

When and where I grew up Pitt/Penn State was a great rivalry game.

Now for me it's Florida/FSU and what makes it a little different from the other rivalries is that it's an out of conference game.

What a run by Denard Robinson, never has there been a player that can frustrate you and leave you on the edge of your seat with his play

I'll have to disagree, having went to college with the great Barry Sanders. Talk about frustration, just try tackling him.

No disagreement there..I am just saying from a fan perceptive from Michigan, he does things to electrify then can drive you crazy with poor choices in the game

Looks like the Buckeyes are going to have an undefeated season for the 6th time in school history, but their fans will only get to go home and play "what if" and "wait until next year" like a lot of the rest of us. Congrats anyway. Of course, the AP could anoint them champs if ND falls, for whatever that's worth.

If they would have only taken the self imposed bowl ban last year like I said they should.

Excellent point. Down here, no one cares about Michigan-Ohio State or Oklahoma-Texas. It is about Miami-FSU or more so, FSU-Florida. And I am sure the same applies in reverse in those part of the country.

You care about it when the Buckeyes are in the mix for the MNC game ...
As they will most likely be next year.

Any rivalry game carries a little more weight out of region if one or both are in the mix.

Anyway, I'm getting ready for the Michigan vs. Ohio State game just like everyone else in the country. BTW, I hate that Urban guy...what parent names their child after an adjective? Well, I guess it sure beats naming your kid Woody.

Kick off time!!!

He actually explained this when he came on board with the Buckeyes.

Something to do with the name being carried down from his Grandfather or farther yet, not sure, but thats generally how you get the different type of name.

Sorry...but down here, very few, if anyone, will care. This state cares mostly for FSU, UF and The U...not necessarily in that order.
