Yeah, but they got a free one (well, $180,000 one) they year before last, so we will call it even. ;)

Ha. Bamers will never let it go.:)
Love it every time I see one of you write or say something about it.

Oh I was being sarcastic. lol

If something happened, or when it comes out or is proven, then let it fall where it may. Until then, they proved all they needed to prove on the field, and took care of business.

I do have fun ragging Barn fans on it though. ;)

2 more of the longest weeks ever.

I hear you!

Question: How many games does everyone watch each week?

I pretty much hibernate from 10:00AM (MST) Saturday until Sunday afternoon and sometimes Sunday evening. I have an antenna and a pc that can record up to 5 channels at a time from that OTA feed so I don't miss any of the national games. In the past I had only 2 tuners for cable/sat, so I had to miss some games there, but this year I have the DirecTV HR34 with 5 tuners so it looks like I may be watching well into Monday or Tuesday (that is assuming I never get a life!).

I will be watching each day that games are on. On saturday, I make sure that I am home, or wherever we are going to watch that day, by 10:30 at the latest. Then it is game time.

I do not DVR any of the games, sports is the one thing that I watch live. I will have three games on at a time though (and updates for others streamed to my phone and computer), so I do not miss the ones I want to catch. For the others I catch the highlights on sportscenter the next morning, and through the sunday paper.

I watch every game I can usually 10-15 a week if I can do picture and picture along with 4 LCD's streaming in various games on ESPN3 or wherever I can get them. Saturday's starting at noon have me locked up for the most part...if I'm at a game tailgating I may listen to a few on radio or if I'm doing an all day I'll drag tablet along and stream in a game or two.

Also AP polls are out.

Looks semi ok, not sure I would put USC at #1 or even in top 5 for that matter but aside from two -3 teams their schedule is weak as hell.

My hokies come in at #16 which isn't bad, they will likely jump 5 spots after destroying GT at home in a few weeks. Looking to see FSU come undefeated into Lane Stadium in November against an undefeated VT team which should make for an awesome game!

GO HOKIES!

ditto...I don't like watching any recorded games! I want them LIVE and no other way!!

I enjoy watching the game an hour or two behind because I can: skip past the commercials, replay the scoring plays for the good guys over and over and over again, skip past the annoying commentary when the evil team that nobody cares about scores, replay the game over and over and over and celebrate victory. :)

Exactly (especially regarding the inane commentary - these announcers need a big dose of shut-up pills). Also get to see a lot more of everyone around the country - helps the perspective.

How can one not put usc in the top 5? Yeah it's guesswork at this point but really? Why?

I prefer to see it as if I were there. Or as close as possible. Recorded games that have already happened, when I have an interest in the outcome, just doesn't do it for me.

I like to feel like my crazy ass yelling actually means something and helps my boys win. Lol.

I can only guess that they haven't seen them play at the end of last season. They lost nothing, their running game should be improved (and really doesn't need to be anything more than mediocre) and their defense should be better, but again, just has to stop someone occasionally because I don't see anyone stopping their offense even occasionally. Barkley really matured during the 2011 season and Lee and Woods would be starting on any NFL team right now. I think the only thing that can stop them is that weasel Kiffin. He doesn't have to coach, just needs to stay out of the way (and keep his mouth shut).

I saw an interesting stat the other day that the Pac-12 and SEC have not met in a bowl game in this century and only 8 times ever. In the regular season since 2000 they have only met 15 times with the Pac-12 holding a 10-5 edge (USC had 4 for the Pac-12 and LSU 3 for the SEC, so the overall is not that meaningful).

That said, until they hit the turf in 2 weeks, none of us knows jack.

Since you quoted me in the rant, please point out where I compared the Football and basketball postseason.

My agreeing with the premise of Toms post (which is what my quoted post addressed) did nothing of the sort and I doubt that is really what he was doing, as a non sec Homer I might add, either.

Erm, you agreed with his post, which he clarified before you agreed:

No I was saying that Uconn, Syracuse, Pitt and a lot more of the Big East teams got the high ranking at the beginning of the year and with how many teams make it to the tournament from the Big East because of reputation.

...which is exactly comparing the football and basketball postseason selection. It also happens to be complete BS.

I guess I missed his clarification.

In any case, my point was, "it is rigged" is far to often the cry of those that are not winning, and it has nothing to do with basketball and how the postseason is selected. If you thought that was a comparison that I was making, then you were in error.

The problem is... it actually IS rigged (due to nonsensical polls) in football. Basketball has gone to lengths to make the process transparent, and most complaining is on the cut line, not in seeding nor inclusion.
