Alabama beats USC.
I sure hope so, Well I hope its FLA who beats them But I do hope an SEC team gets to take on another PAC 10 team (hopefully USC) and beat them again. I mean they just cant seem to take a hint on who is better
Alabama beats USC.
I don't see VT having no easier of a schedule than other years, they play some damn good teams every year and this year is no different. Miami is away (always a hard game), Clemson is away so that will be a hard game... FSU comes to Blacksburg but they are never a push over and I hope to see both teams undefeated in this game. I'll be tailgating all day Labor day for the GT game and fired up by game time...as for going undefeated it could happen but they are not playing in cupcake schedule by no means. USC looks to have a decent schedule to make a run, don't see anyone really on theirs to hold them up cept for 1-3 teams unless they get upset which could happen and I'm going to pull for whoever they play just cause I can't stand USC.
If I had to take a pick based on exactly what lsilvest said then it would be USC vs FSU/VT in the national championship game cause each FSU and VT could help each other by a win over the other - NOT once but TWICE as they could meet again in the ACC champ game and the other team still be in the top10.
SOS is just lame to even follow... preseason ranks are stupid. What happened to Clemson is just them being, well "Clemson". They played great against VT both times - I know I saw one game live so their loss to WVA was just them doing what they have always done best which is play great for most of the regular season and then flop. The ACC has some great teams this year even if some are not "ranked" in this lame thing we call a pre-season poll. The way I see it is both FSU and VT stand a damn good chance at running the table and playing the other again still being ranked in the top 10 cause on their first meeting they could both very well be at or in the top 5 by that November night.
the SOS is flawed in every sense of its form till you really get into the meat of a teams schedule as it is all speculation and nothing more. Clemson was a damn good team last year but they do best and that is beat themselves - the loss to WVU was a bad one indeed but that wasn't VT's fault. The loss to Michigan in OT wasn't nothing either - VT lost but it was a very close and awesome game to watch and did go into OT - you gotta have a winner and a loser but either way rebuilding or not VT played like a champ in that game and got ripped off by a bad call that YES the guy in charge of the Ref's for College Football came out to say that catch in the end zone (CATCH) by Danny Coale should have not been over turned but left to stand...now would VT still win, who knows nobody knows but its crap like that which really drives people nuts when you ruin a good game with bad calls. Reminds me of the one back in 2004 with VT against #1 USC that may have cost VT the game, nobody will ever know otherwise. I don't get why all the ACC hate here.... they have some GREAT teams every single one of them have had great runs and do great things so lets just stop with all the hate and lets just prepare for a good season coming, I'm excited and for that here watch this, certainly got me fired up! GO HOKIES! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrTmaypDWFISOS is lame to follow? How is that logical? I guess we should send Boise state to the title game every year, because they went undefeated in one of the crappiest conferences in the NCAA.... SOS matters big time, its why a 1 loss SEC Champion will get in over an undefeated ACC champion. And what happened to Clemson was typical for the ACC period. Last year VTech played no one. The one team they played who was highly ranked (Clemson) beat them badly. Twice.. Then in the bowl game VTech plays one hell of a game and got edged out by a Michigan team that is rebuilding. Could you point out to us who are the "great" teams in the ACC. Great of course to me means they have a solid chance to beat any team in the league. Im having trouble finding one last year who beat any team of note?
Clemson was a damn good team last year but they do best and that is beat themselves
yeah, should have worded it like that lol but yeah that was all Clemson - VT had nothing to do with that loss.70-33 is not beating yourself. It is getting your A** handed to you.
You really can't blame any of these teams.. they beat themselves up every year like any other conf. They all had their chances but its what is this year is important, I don't look at the past if I can avoid it.The ACC "should" have some great teams, but for whatever reason, the powerhouse conference that could never has lived up to expectations on the football field. I remember when they moved to 12, I was thinking, wow. FSU, Miami, Clemson, Ga Tech, Va Tech....that conference will be strong. Reality however has been a different story.
yeah, should have worded it like that lol but yeah that was all Clemson - VT had nothing to do with that loss.
yeah that's bs too.. Clemson always does that, they have always been like that wasn't nothing against the other teams they beat. But that was last year, this is this year this year looks to be an awesome year for a few ACC teams to be contenders. Watch that video? I did... all fired up!It did give the perception that Va Tech (and the ACC overall) was overrated though seeing that Clemson had already beaten them twice convincingly and then got man handled in the Bowl game.
fixedHey, this may very well be their year. The schedules are favorable for a couple of them for sure. I doubt it will happen, but who knows. Maybe this year the ACC can beat a SEC team in the BCS champ game. Stranger things...
I dont think stranger things have happened than THAT possibility.fixed
Man... still disputing conference...LOL! I can see it during bowl season...you know, your team is either out or outranked by a school in your conference..OK, I'll buy arguing one conference over another for the bowls...I don't get it, but hey...to each his own. But BEFORE the season starts, the argument should be MORE about 'my team is better than your team'...not this conference stuff.::wacko:::
