NCAA Football 2011-2012

How are they taking a hit? Boise St. just has 3 less scholarships to give for the next few years (and only having 82 instead of 85 scholarships really isn't a big deal). 3 students will just go elsewhere.

In tennis and track, where the real cheating was, the coaches did get hit, with a show cause, so now they're out of a job and can't be hired at another NCAA school.

Doesn't matter if its 3 or 30... students that don't even go to the school or slots of possible students are hurt in a process that should be hitting the president and others ONLY in the pocket. As much as I don't care for Boise St I hate to see any students of any number get effected by something the administration should have addressed.

I had heard this over the radio down here in multiple stations and I thought it would be impossible. Then a did some digging...and...you know what? It COULD be....

Would Texas Go to the ACC?

I like the idea except for distance - Atlantic Coast Conference - last time I checked Texas was in the middle of the country and in the "Gulf Coast Conference"

Truth be told...geography will/has no longer mattered now that these super conferences are being formed. Does Colorado joining the PAC-whatever-their-name-is due to geography? Not really, because the time zone difference is only 1 hour....Like Texas to Miami. I mean a flight from North Carolina to Texas is the same as Miami to Blacksberg.

War "Dumb" Eagle! 20 seconds in....THWACK!

Glad the bird is ok obviously.

Was wondering, atleast 65 football players WERE PROVEN in getting gifts, money, benefits, greatly discounted living accomidations at Boise State .....while 72 players were ALLEGED to doing the same at The U...and it got no where near as much publicity...

Why?

because no one cares about boise st, or any other school not a top 25 contender? (not a pretender like boise)

Well, tonight well see just how bad the Buckeyes really are ....

Toledo vs Boise State 8 pm. ESPN

And NO, I don't think they have as much chance to pull the Upset as they almost did last week against the Bucks.

Boise by 20 is the spread, I'll take the 20.

Rockets COULD keep it close, but they will have to eliminate the penalties, they would have beat the Bucks had they cut them down.

Last year was a whipping, I HOPE it's not that bad this year.

Boise is the highest ranked team to visit Toledo.

Toledo has in previous years beat alot of Big Boys .... well see.

I'm pulling hard for Toledo tonight... just as I'm listening to a few ESPN analysts talk about Kellen Moore St they are dead on when they couldn't play in the other conferences including the ACC week in and week out as they don't have the depth. This is why they took last week off was to recover before playing again after a big team just as they did last year...smart scheduling or just can't do it any other way.

Wow, they must really suck if they couldn't compete in the ACC. Especially against those "power" teams of Duke, Wake Forest, North Carolina, NC State, Virginia, Maryland, etc...

Come on, except for FSU, did we have any OOC wins last year that didn't involve a 1-AA team (we even lost to one of those). Sorry, but Boise St. would probably win the ACC, probably not the Big Ten or SEC, but easily the ACC.
I truly wish we were better, but I like Salsa, I like to face facts and will criticize my team/conference when it deserves it.

btw, Boise St. 40, Toledo 15

AP source: Pittsburgh, Syracuse apply to join ACC - College Football - Rivals.com

The Atlantic Coast Conference has received application letters from Pittsburgh and Syracuse to join the league, according to a high-ranking ACC official.

At least 10 schools have reached out to the ACC during the recent period of uncertainty about conference realignment, the official told The Associated Press on Saturday. The official declined to identify those schools.

The official added that presidents of the league’s 12 schools during a recent meeting unanimously approved raising the exit fee to $20 million—up from $12 million to $14 million—for any member leaving the conference. The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the league has not publicly announced any of the moves.

I thought this post was funnny.

Dear Mountain West Conference - We're sorry for our horrible mistake. Will you please take us back? Sincerely, TCU.
