With a win over Georgia Tech and a loss to Kentucky, it can now be said- Georgia is the most schizophrenic team in the country.
I can't disagree with that. Don't forget a win over SC and a loss to Tenn. Hell they should have beat LSU (Thanks SEC officials).
Except GT's starting QB was OUT of the game ........
He wasn't out that long. The issue was the GT Defense couldn't stop GA run game. In the End the SEC is still the best conference. Any ACC or Big Ten team would finish 3rd or 4th at best. The Big Ten this year was a joke. None of those teams should have the right to go to a BCS game.
I dont think MTN West or WAC schools are that good but they were better than Big Ten teams.
Those conference are what I like to call top-heavy.
Yes, their top-tier teams are vey good, but their cellar-dwellers are terrible.
Wyoming, New Mexico, Utah State, Idaho, San Diego State- not exactly murderers row.
I read an article that says Georgia can brag about this win for the next year.
I say this- just because you looked good tonight doesn't mean the other 5 losses are magically erased like that.
They are still an underachiever this year, upset or not, How did Washington do after the USC upset?
Georgia is one of the most overrated programs in the country- they haven't won a national title since 1980.
Notre Dame gets a lot of grief for not winning a title since 1988, yet the Dawgs don't get any heat for not winning it all despite some very strong teams.
I guess it's because the media dare not speaketh against their precious SEC.

Florida does not have a strong group of receivers.. So they have to run the ball alot.
Tebow runs the ball, because he can. He is an effective runner, he is that "third" option that makes FLAs offense hard to defend. That is an asset to him not a liability. Him running the ball only means he adds just that much more offense to his team.
Congrats to the SEC as a whole for whipping up on our rival conference the ACC.. Florida over FSU (Ok not that impresive I mean #1 vs unranked. middle road ACC team) But Clemson and GaTech (the top 2 teams in the ACC) both going down to Middle SEC teams how about that..

I will flat-out admit this- with all due respect to McCoy and the Insider and jwfgeol and BigDawg- whom I have much respect for their football knowledge- I am growing weary of the SEC worship.
I will be rooting for Texas (or someone else if we have a reenactment of the 2003 Big 12 Title game) in the championship game, because I want to see someone else win it all for a change.

I guess I will never understand love for a conference....I mean if ANY of your teams were to move to another conference....that new conference would be the love of your life? Really? Seriously? LOL!
I did....I predicted a 9-3 season. And why not, they had MORE 1st or 2nd year players starting than any other division 1 college in the country. And NEXT YEAR, they will BE in the ACC championship AND compete for a National Championship.

The TOP of the Big Ten and the Top of the SEC ....
If you go past Fla and Ala. the rest are no better than any other team out there.
EVERY conference is this way, occasionally you have a year that it's a bit different, like the Big 12 last year had 3 very good teams.
Look at the Big East this year, they have a real team in the BSC, nice change of pace.
SEC is having a DOWN year, so don't give me the BIG TEN is down SH**.
The Big 10 has been down for many years now, had a few teams at the top to keep them afloat.
Is that really any different than any other conference ?
As for your NONE of the Big Ten should go to a BSC game quote?

If your in the Top 10 at the end of the year your going to a BSC game and then plenty of teams outside of the top ten also go ....
How many years now have we all sat here saying that the Big East should not have a automatic bid, they still go.
Of course not. Then I would pull for the other teams that replaced them in our conference. Just like some of you cant understand pulling for conference teams in OOC games, I can not understand the reverse. Why would you NOT want your conference to have a good OOC record? Why would you not pull for them in that case? Conference being strong, means we accomplished more by winning it IMHO.
Hell for that matter, I pull for our biggest rivals when they are not playing bama. Much more satisfying to beat a team that is up, than a sub par middle of the road team. It is one of the reasons that Auburn fans are still slightly happy after the loss to us in the Iron Bowl. They almost beat one of the best. Think they would have been as happy if they lost to a subpar Bama team? Think people would be giving Chizik the praise that he is getting from his fan base right now if we both would have been 7-5 and he lost anyway? No. He proved he has them on track.
Again, I guess I will not understand it. I mean, I don't root for the Big East in basketball, I just think they are the best basketball conference. I STILL hate Georgetown, UCONN and 'Nova....LOL! Do I root for them when they play other non-conference teams....hell no! IF they beat a team from the ACC, Big Ten or Big 12...good for them. The conference gains nothing by it but bragging rights for FANS that get all into this.
...but maybe it's me.....
Your team always comes first, so whats next? Why not support your conference.
