You wouldn't compare Maryland to South Carolina? Maybe South Carolina plays in a tougher conference, and it's harder to get recruits. Spurrier's problem is all quaterback. If he could ever get a decent quarterback, he'd win. Defense is better than he ever had at Florida.

Troy is not a team you want to play late in the season while injured, and after battling the #1 team in the country to a disappointing loss in OT. They're a quick team and match up pretty good with the unsuspecting big boys

They have beaten some decent teams. They have posted wins over Oklahoma State and Missouri.

Maryland won a NC after Bear left. They are waaay better than South Carolina. When have they ever been good? Never. Isn't it ironic that the biggest problem with South Carolina is their lack of a good QB? Spurrier is a former Heisman winner at QB. He made guys like Jesse Palmer and Rex Grossman look good at Florida. I think the reality is that kids today realize what a jackass Spurrier really is and they don't want to play for him.
