Saban will get booed A LOT.

Hey, Mccoy, what do you think the atmosphere will be like this weekend? Civil?

Civil?

It will be pretty wild up until the point when it's obvious Alabama has us by the gonads.

But, if the Tigers manage to start manhandling Bama (big if) it will probably go down in history how bad those Cajuns verbally abused Saban. That may happen regardless.

I was doing some research on something that still infuriates me- in 1993, a one-loss Florida State team, which LOST their big game at Notre Dame, somehow managed to get into an Orange Bowl ahead of unbeaten West Virginia.

99% of the time, when a team loses its big showdown game late in the year, you title hopes are shot (See 1995 Ohio State).

I don't want to hear any of that crap about a tougher schedule.

Florida State LOST their big game, yet got REWARDED WITH A TITLE?!

I still insist FSU only got that title because everyone was sympathetic towards Bowden and, of course, all that hype about Charlie Ward (the most overrated Heisman winning-QB ever, IMO) influenced the voters.

Haha, the "civil" comment was a joke!!!!!!:p

Your thoughts are pretty much what I had in mind. I HOPE its a good one. Good luck:up

Bama's not losing 2 out of 3 games. Even if LSU managed to somehow find a secondary and a quaterback that have been invisible up to this point, and upset a team that plays better on the road in big games than they do at home, it's not like Mississippi State or Auburn are going to beat them this year.
Never say never.

And as bad as last years team was, they were up 2 touchdowns on LSU in the fourth quarter. They just couldn't stop playing stupid long enough to win that one.
Stupid is as stupid does Forrest. Maybe LSU's stupidity had them down by 14 in the fourth.

Looks like you Bammers are favored by everyone today. The Gameday crew was unanimous in their pick of the Tide. Hope we can keep it close and disappoint you all.

Well, unfortunately, Alabama was the team last year that showed an inability to win in the last month of the season. LSU went on to win the national title, Alabama went on to lose to UL-Monroe. No doubts on which team was playing more stupid last year.

And truthfully, even if LSU wins today, this Alabama team has so far surpassed what I expected of them, it'll still be a great season. It would be disappointing to lose after being ranked number 1, but I wouldn't have believed they could have been ranked number 1 for even a week before the season started. The experts may have picked Bama, but what do they know? The number one ranked team last year went 2-4 after November 1st.

I don't think anyone is going to keep arguing that Penn State's schedule could have been more difficult if they had played Minnesota or Northwestern. Those teams are just as bad as the rest of the conference.

I've been watching Georgia Tech-UNC most of this afternoon.

The Heels have looked very impressive and lead 21-7 with about 4 minutes left.

I didn't want to admit it obviously, but I thought Bama was playing better than I thought they would last year. They took LSU and Georgia both down to the wire, and beat a good Arkansas team, all in Saban's first year. He was left with some pretty good players, and now he has some of his own. I suspected that they'd be good this year, but #1? That's hard for an LSU fan to stomach. :D Gotta admit, Saban is good.

Well Alabama had a 9 game losing streak in November until last week. For whatever reason, they couldnt win late season games. We'll find out today if that continues, or if it really IS a different Bama team. Bama was a physically weak, really soft team until Saban.

In a perfect sports world for me, they'd both lose!! And Wyoming just held Tennessee from scoring from the 18 yard line. Under 8 and a half minutes to play. Hilarious.

:up Then again, the stronger the SEC, the better our teams look in the polls. Still nice to see rivals get spanked though. :p

Signing off to watch the game.
