NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

That schedule is brutal though.

Believe me, I know.

Let me just say the following:

1. I hope this converts some of the Tech bashers on this site

2. This was the only great non-Big 10 game of the day. (Lot of Pac-10 stinkers and Florida/Georgia was lopsided, though some ACC games and Pitt/Notre Dame were good)

Thoughts on the Late Saturday Games:

1. The Final Two Minutes of the Texas/Texas Tech game ranks as maybe the best final two minutes of the college season.

2. Texas still has the easiest route to the Big XII Championship Game.

3. What the hell is wrong with Stanford, they only scored 58 on Washington State. :)

4. Late Night Snacks....Utah at New Mexico, 4th qtr the Utes only up 13-10. ASU at Oregon St., the Devils have outplayed the Beavers but trail 7-6 in the third qtr.

3. What the hell is wrong with Stanford, they only scored 58 on Washington State. :)

It's been years since Stanford scored over 50 on anyone; they usually gave up all the points.

BTW, I staked my reputation for bold predictions tonight, and I have come through AGAIN!

Browns over Giants, Tech over Texas, Auburn being tremendously overrated, and others.

This was only Wazzu's second Pac-10 game, UCLA was the other, that they didn't allow 60+ points to be scored against them. That's how bad Wazzu is.

It is a shame that Penn State will be ranked #2 or 3. I don't think they are even one of the 10 best teams in the nation.

My top 10

1. Alabama
2. Texas Tech
3. Florida
4. Texas
5. Oklahoma St.
6. Oklahoma
7. USC
8. Utah
9. Boise State
10. TCU
11. Penn State*

Great day for me.

Not only did I deliver another bold prediction, but my favorite team from my days living on the East Coast won.

Syracuse WON! They actually won a game, against Louisville.

November 22nd is shaping up to be a big day:

Oklahoma/Texas Tech, BYU/Utah, Michigan/Ohio State (It won't even be the most important Big 10 game that day!) Michigan State/Penn State, Syracuse/Notre Dame (What? They won today), and Ole Miss/LSU.

Oh, and there's Washington/Washington State in a potential 'Toilet Bowl.'

My Week 10 BCS Top 12:

1. Alabama
2. Penn State
3. Texas Tech
4. Texas
5. Oklahoma
6. Florida
7. USC
8. Oklahoma State
9. Boise State
10. Utah
11. Ohio State
12. TCU

Watching College Football Live, I enjoy the trio of Rece Davis, Lou Holtz, and Mark May. They are very enjoyable to listen to when it comes to recapping the games. Much better than the days of Trev Alberts!

There's a decent game going on late.

On FSN, Arizona State went for a two-point conversion against Oregon State, but failed.

Nice after-dinner mint to conclude another wild day of college football.

Purdue pulls a Boise State- hook and ladder with less than 30 seconds left against Michigan. to take a 48-42 lead.

No bowl game for the first time in 33 years and no winning season for the first time since 1967.

What has Paul done to deserve this? Tigers underachieve, Lions still winless, and Murphy's Law striking Michigan with a vengeance.

Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong for Mr. Wozniak. He deserves a better fate than this.

Yes, but the Wings should have another strong season. Not to sound like a broken record, but for the 5th straight week I am asking Michigan leadership to fire Coach "Trick" Rodriguez. There will certainly be no treat in Ann Arbor this season. Bo would be having a major conniption right now if he were alive and the AD (I can picture it in my mind), and Coach Rod's head would be impaled on a stake.

Thanks for the sympathy, Sabre. (And congrats on a signature win for your fav TT.)
Riff, Coach Rod has done one of the worst coaching jobs this side of the Lions. I will give him a couple of seasons to turn it around (I have no choice, and no say in the matter), but this man has done NOTHING to adapt to the talent he did inherit, and yes there is plenty there. What did this guy do to the defense? The offense was fun to watch yesterday, but the defense was non-existant, and this is a unit that had at least 7 returning starters! If next season looks anything like this one, Rodriguez will be fired. He's turned MICHIGAN into the Big Ten version of the Lions, Think about that first season after Millen took over, and tell me this doesn't look eerily similar.
