You're crazy. Texas is playing the #6 team in the country in their house, and they were down by 19. If Texas wins they will prove that they are the #1 team in the country. Do you seriously believe that Alabama's win over Arkansas St is more impressive? Or that Penn St, who's sitting on their ass this week, should move up?
Texas is not going to win a championship playing like this!
If Texas wins, other than the Kansas, they can cruise to the Big 12 title game (Baylor's a one-man team and A&M is horrible).
I have bashed Texas, but I would root for them to win a national title since:
A. They're a Big 12 team
B. It would be better than seeing another SEC team
If Texas wins they won't drop in the polls, they would have won a road conference game against a team ranked 7th. You can't compare that to Bama winning at home against a FCS school.
If Texas wins, they will cruise all the way to the first Saturday in December.
As much as I want to say the Longhorns are lucky as hell, I can't.
BTW, Tech isn't exactly getting obliterated, but I know HD MM and David and Sam and anders would dance all over Tech's grave.

Very TRUE!:up Since Texas or Tech are not in the sec or PAC 2 then we get judge harder in my opinion!
Only when they dick around against teams that aren't any good. Texas is awesome! Not many other teams would win in Lubbock, especially after getting down by 19.

I have been critical about Texas (I bashed them for a late score against Mizzou), but they played their butts off and left their hearts on the field.
Props to both teams, Tech and Texas. They put up a hell of a fight regardless of the outcome.
I wish Texas all the best the rest of the way against Baylor, Kansas, A&M, and whoever they play in the Big 12 Title game (they can still make it!) or bowl game.
Colt McCoy may have lost the game, but I definitely think he will still be invited to New York on the second Saturday in December,

I NEVER said Tech would run the table and play in Miami. I honestly would be stunned if they beat OU in Norman.
There's a better chance, IMO, of Notre Dame winning at USC than Texas Tech winning in Oklahoma. I saw parts of the Nebraska blowout.
Remember, I have seen two-loss teams get a BCS at-large (see LSU in 2006 when they beat up Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl)
