And that's the problem with polls. Everyone thinks of Kansas as a basketball school. But being unbeaten in the Big-12 is a real achievement. And by the end of the season, we will still be ignoring Kansas, unless you're talking basketball.

No one has the time, which is why I agree that a 16 team playoff is needed. Take all the 1-A conference champs and how ever many wild cards are needed (5 I think) to get to 16.They should actually do away with the "Coaches poll", seeing most coaches don't do the voting and don't have time to see anything other than highlights anyway.

Would even have the side benefit of making the conference championship games even bigger since they are a lock into the playoffs for the teams.
Maybe they will take into account that LSU has only one loss because they were given a gift in the previous game that they had lost if not for the 1st down they received keeping thier last drive alive while being a good foot and a half short.
That will probably be a mute point after this weekend, Alabama should beat them

And as terrible as it sounds...and I know I have PLENTY of company when it comes to thinking this way....I hope EVERY SINGLE YEAR of the BCS existance, that the championship game is played by teams with 1 or 2 loses for BOTH teams. That way, you know FOR A FACT that alot of teams will be left out...and THAT is when there will be SOME move towards a playoff system. The problem has been that there has not been enough of those type of BCS Championship games to make these people even think about a playoff system.
and USC showed them why they shouldn'tLast year Michigan thought that should go
In 2005, there were 3 undefeated, Auburn USC & Oklahoma. Oklahoma did so badly against USC that it's a reasonable argument that Auburn should have played USC instead.previously Auburn and Oklahoma and I can't remember all of them, maybe Oklahoma DID go and someone else didn't, was that the year that Auburn should have ?
I am still waiting for Michigan to play up to their potential and deliver solid play from both sides of the line...Tomorrow's prediction:
MICHIGAN 34 - Moo U. 20.
GO BLUE!!!!!
And LSU escapes again ... They are starting to look like the '02 Buckeye's.
Whens the last time LSU fans were FSU fans ?
tOSU looked pretty good against the Badgers today when they had to. And what's with Kansas - wow! When's the last time somebody slapped 70+ points on Nebraska?
BC trailing by 10 with about 7:00 left, was given a first down by the official when the player was about a half a yard short.....
I guess it's not ONLY LSU that gets these game saving calls, btw, 2 plays later BC has moved inside the 10 yard line.
infraction happened around the BC 45 yard line and they would have been punting.
Chalk up 7 points for BC as they just scored when FSU should have had the ball.

I have noticed that if FSU had not commited so many penalties....they could be winning BIG....
Game, set....match! ASU#2 LSU#3.....you watch.....
ASU lost today to Oregon 35-23
I think you meant # 2 Oregon, #3 LSU
I don't know, I would think LSU at # 2, but it really doesn't matter at this point.
Jimbo
OH CRAP!!! I didn't know ASU lost....
#1....Ohio State(much deserved)
#2....Oregon(see above)
#3....LSU(ONLY because Oregon beat an undefeated team ranked in the top ten....they beat anyone else....LSU is #2)
When LSU wins next week, they will claim #2.....REGARDLESS of what Oregon does.
