NCAA Football 2007-08

Upset Update

South Flordia defeats West Virginia tonight 21-13

WV QB went down with an injury early in the game and that undoubtably helped.
None the less a top 10 team goes down to defeat.

That is the third year in a row they have beaten them.

I'm loving this - the mighty falling like trees. USC got a scare as well. Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, West Virginia, 4 of the top 6.

I guess, maybe the Buckeyes will move up a small bit., maybe ...

edit: I see the pols are out already, Bucks move up to # 4 :)

I don't think they are the 4th best out there yet, but SOMEONE has to be there :)

Didn't California get quite a scare as well ?

Yes 31-24, but it was against a top team as well, Oregon ...
Wisconsin got a scare from an oncoming Michigan State team as well.
I am surprised Wisconsin is this high seeing they had scares against the Citadel and Nevada (or was it UNLV) receintly.

Notice USC and LSU swapped in the AP poll

Kentucky ranked #8. You would think that was a Basketball poll if you didn't know any better.

I agree, there are a lot of teams up there in the top 10 you would not expect !
South Florida, Boston College..
Hawaii, Missouri, Cincy in the top 20 ...

Looks like they took a bunch of teams and put them in a hat and pulled them out and put them in that order .

How does South Florida jump ahead of Kentucky?

OU's first real road game with our red-shirt freshman QB. I expected some problems, but that 2nd half was atrocious. The only good thing is that Texas lost too. It does take the shine off this weekend's game, but I still think the winner will take the Big-12 South.

Oh NOW he is a red-shirt freshman....was THAT the excuse?;)

QB has always been the question mark. All that we have at OU now are freshmen. Playing at home, Bradford has been spectacular. Last week at Tulsa, he was less than spectacular, and Tulsa's stadium and crowd isn't exactly Big-12. So I was a little apprehensive Saturday, and the two tipped ball turnovers, along with the fumbled punt, did in the Sooners.

Didn't matter...redshirt or not...conference games baby!! They know you, you know them...it's a crap shoot.

This is why they suck

Joe Gibbs retires again
