NCAA College Basketball 2009-10 Season

Shoot me. Please.

Ugh, Anders - our teams are causing us both to age.

That guy on ESPN says you guys are one of the last 4 teams in. How in the world is he figuring that??? You are 7-10 in your conference and have 13 loses overall.

Joe Lunardi also says that Notre Dame is practically in themselves. What world is he living in? Beating UConn is no big accomplishment this year. ND has a lot of work left to do if they want to be dancing.

If you're talking about Joe Lunardi, he says they're in with a few more wins....

ESPN's resident bracketologist Joe Lunardi says UConn needs three more wins to secure an NCAA Tournament bid.

That was before last night's crushing loss....

Watchable games tonight:

6:00 PM Radford-Winthrop ESPN U (Big South tournament semifinals)
7:00 PM Dayton-Richmond CBS College Sports
8:30 PM UNC Asheville-Coastal Carolina ESPN U (Big South tournament semifinals)

As you can see I will also include conference tournament semifinal and championship games from even the smallest conferences, as these are already basically play-in games for March Madness.

Enjoy!

I don't think if they win their next game and then go to the Big East final that they deserve to get in.

You're forgetting that we don't play in the "Kentucky and the 11 dwarfs" conference, like you. :)

Win next 2, likely in. Win > that, and they're safe.

11 dwarfs? :haha

Tennessee beat the #1 team in the land Kansas without their whole team. SEC is getting no respect this year.

The same Joe Lunardi also put Kansas State in as the 4th #1 seed in the Tourney...

I on the other hand think Ohio State has a legitimate shot at the 4th #1. Especially if they win the Big 10 Tournament.

No way. Ohio St has 7 losses and an RPI outside the top 20. Frankly I don't know how they're ranked in the top 10.

Duke will be the 4th #1 seed, behind KY, Kansas, and Syracuse.

OSU has finished its season without any hiccups. In the past 5 days, top 10 teams Kansas, Kentucky, Kansas State, Duke, Purdue, and Villanova have all lost games (with West Virginia playing at Villanova this weekend, another top 10 team is guaranteed a loss).

Furthermore, if Duke does NOT win the ACC tourney and OSU wins the Big 10, there is a legitimate argument to put OSU in over Duke.

Their resume in games with Evan Turner is convincing. With Turner they are 21-4 and without him they were 3-3, which included that one “bad loss” on their resume at Michigan. The NCAA, when considering OSU’s resume, will most likely take into account their resume WITH Turner in the lineup.

It is based on the TEAM not an individual. Sorry.

It's not a contest between Ohio St and dook. West Virginia, Villanova and Kansas St are all more deserving of a 1 seed than Ohio St.

And if you really want to watch a game with the LOUDEST crowd, played at 9 PM EST Saturday...tune in to the New Mexico St-Utah St game on ESPN Full Court. Cameron will be loud on Saturday...but the Spectrum in Logan, Utah will be absolutely ROCKING! The Spectrum holds more people than Cameron and, more importantly, Cameron seats 1,500 students while the Spectrum seats over 6,000 in their student section. They take up half the arena...and they're truly crazy, with all of their rituals, chants, and everything else they do at every game. There is a reason Utah State does not lose at home. And it's not just because they have the cutest cheerleader in college basketball...

This is the loudest crowd in all of college basketball (even louder than New Mexico), it's senior night (the Lobos have only one senior but he's a good one...point guard Jared Quayle), and they've just clinched the number one seed in the WAC tournament. A win Saturday night and a trip to the WAC finals should be enough for Utah State to go dancing. At that point, even with a loss in the conference tournament finals, they would be 30-7. A conference tournament win should give them a good seed. Bring on the big boys!
