NCAA College Basketball 2009-10 Season

No. 10 West Virginia gets past No. 19 Georgetown - College Basketball - Rivals.com

Georgetown has really been ice-cold for a while now.

Could they be en route to a crash and burn after a fast start?
Losing tonight wasn't so bad. Losing Sat to a Notre Dame team without Luke Harangody is bad. And they have losses to Rutgers and South Florida. Georgetown is going to be one hard team to pick in a bracket. They have the talent to get to the FF, but could lose to a 13 seed too.

Syracuse beats St. John's to win the outright Big East title for Team Salsa.

(I thought that the only way St. John's could win is if Sandra tried to put a voodoo hex on the Orange)

They've come a long way since Le Moyne.

With the win last night, Ohio State guaranteed at least a share in the Big 10 title!

What a great night to be a Terp fan. Didn't even have to put any cheese in the rat trap. Anders, I have never rooted for UNC in my life, but that might change Saturday night.

...If you picked today, the Big East would get eight, with Cincinnatti in and Connecticutt out, but over the last four or five games of the season, the roughly sixth through twelfth place teams play mostly each other or top ten teams, so I predict that Cincinnatti will drop out and Connecticutt will get in.

UConn would get in now after their win over WV.

"But that was yesterday, and yesterday's gone."

UConn has now lost successive games to Notre Dame and Louisville. They will have to win at least THREE Big East tournament games to get into the NCAAs.

Poor Cincinnatti. They played the toughest pre-conference schedule in the country. They beat Vanderbuilt and Maryland, they lost in overtime to Xavier and Gonzaga, and they lost to UAB, and on top of that, with the unbalanced Big East schedule, they played three of the bottom four teams only once each, and didn't get to play the other one at all!

Cincy will now probably need three tourney wins to get in, but they might make it with just two.
