NCAA College Basketball 2009-10 Season

It's not a contest between Ohio St and dook. West Virginia, Villanova and Kansas St are all more deserving of a 1 seed than Ohio St.

Personally methinks it's dooky. If it were between West Virginia,Villanova or KState, I would take KState unless West Virginia or Villinova wins the Big East tourney.:D

Well WVU and Villanova play this weekend so that's a quality to win to the victor, and both are capable of winning the BE Tourney. I'm just puzzled why Ohio St would be in this discussion.

Sports writers usually consider the only conference outside East Coast & Big Ten is the ACC. I think RPI, this year Puts Big 12-1, Big East-2, and ACC-3. The population of the entire state of Kansas with KU, KState, and Wichita State is about the size of Cleveland. KState was the worst college football team for the first 100 years and Snyder showed up. KState hasn't had a strong basketball program since Mitch Richmond gang in the late 80s and now Frank Martin is here after whoosit left for West Virginia.:D

I just watched a few minutes of a game between Kent State and the University of Akron that was being played in a rinky-dink little gym that didn't even have seats at the ends of the court. I've seen high school gyms with more seats than this one had! Akron is a university with an undergraduate enrollment of over 23,000. Don't they understand what their priorities are supposed to be?

Woah easy fella. I am a Kent State Grad and I have family currently attending Akron University. Those schools are very close to my heart.

Well....IF the 'Cuse win today and get at least ONE one in the Big East tourny...they will be a firm #1 seed. IF they go deep in the tourny, they will be the OVERALL #1 seed.

That #1 overall deal is usually more of a curse than it is a blessing. There's really no difference between the 1 seeds anyway.

I think Syracuse is cursed against Louisville. (to be fair, it's the last game at Freedom Hall and Syracuse already locked up the outright Big East crown- Syracuse had nothing to gain and Louisville had an incentive.)

Reminds me of Clemson's woes when playing UNC on the road (speaking of which, the Tar Heels were VERY lucky that Clemson wasn't scheduled to play at Chapel Hill, for this would have been their best shot to win there)

The 'Cuse had way too many missed open shots and they played flat with nothing to really play for. Not worried at all because they will be one of the #1 seeds. When they go deep into the Big East tourny, this game as well as the other loss....will be forgotten.

Syracuse had wrapped up the outright Big East title- they had nothing to gain.

OTOH, UConn losing to South Florida- THAT's a bad loss. They had everything to lose.

They are the most schizo team in the country- beat West Virginia and Villanova, lose to South Florida, Cincinnati, and Providence.

My pick of the first 12, in sequence (my mind is to weak for more and is probably wrong on these 120)-- Kansas, Syracuse, Kentucky, Duke, KState, West Virginia, Villanova, Baylor, New Mexico, Purdue, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt.:D

UConn is finished. That was a heartless effort.

Notre Dame beat Marquette on the road. That's 4 in a row for the Irish all against tough opponents. I'm starting to become a believer in them.

Down goes Frazier!!

It was going to be tough for them to win in that environment. It being the last game ever at Freedom Hall.

It would have been nice to be undefeated on the road. They missed alot of layups and open shots. That won't happen again.

Duke beats UNC by 32.

I had a bad feeling about this game for the Heels a month ago- this was even worse than I thought.

Anders, unless UNC pulls off a miracle in the tourney, they're going to the NIT or the College Basketball Invitational or (gulp) the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament.
