NCAA Championship Week

This is tough.

I have Utah State as a trendy upset pick, but the majority of teams who have a tournament final on their home court usually win.

OTOH, Nevada does not have an impact player like they had a few years ago with Fazekas, so I'll take Utah State to break the trend.

BTW, this is another 1 (Utah St) vs. 2 (Nevada) matchup.

That seems to be the rule in these mid-major conferences.

Hats off to Auburn. They are coached by former Tar Heel Jeff Lebo. I wasn't sure he'd work out down there, but Auburn has come alive lately. They've won 9 of their last 10.

When they thumped LSU, I thought this team was going to do damage in the SEC Tourney.

If Auburn gets past Tennessee, I think they can win this. LSU looked bad against Kentucky yesterday (UK killed themselves with freethrows and turnovers). LSU's inside defense is non-existent. I hate to say it, but Miss. St. should handle them easily today.

The "Amazing Karnac", struggling with his picks?

Congrats to Binghamton- American East Champions!

For the first time EVER, Binghamton is going dancing!

What a surprise:

There will be no bubble thief coming from the C-USA.

Memphis is ahead, 61-36.

Sorry, but that conference is a joke!!

You can say that about other conferences in other eras.

How about the SEC throughout the 1990s?

Or West Coast basketball other than UCLA during the Wooden Era?

Memphis lost three starters to the pros, and I did not have them doing great.

Honestly, I thought this would be the year they'd finally lose a conference game.

This shows just how good Calipari is.

You think CBS had a motive by sending the usually excitable Gus Johnson to the biggest blowout?

Perhaps they wanted to control his excitement by subjecting him to a rout?

Memphis St. needs to find a "real" conference. They're closing in on or have surpassed 60 straight conference wins.

I know UCLA once had a 59-game conference winning streak, and they faced a lot of nobodies in their conference back then.

Anybody care to venture their thoughts on who the #1 seeds will be?

Mine - North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Louisville, and this is up for grabs, but I'm thinking MSU or Memphis St.. I think UCONN may be outside looking in. The loss of Dyson is killing them.

UNC and Pitt are locks

Louisville gets a #1 if they win tonight.

Michigan St. gets a #1 if they win the Big Ten.

UConn gets a #1 if either Louisville or Michigan St. slips

Memphis gets a #1 if BOTH Louisville and Michigan St. slips.
