Ironically, last year, both had significantly better teams, only to get bounced out in the semifinals by Georgia and Arkansas, respectively.
The sad part is the fact the sec was listed as having only two, but several smaller conferences had two.
Memphis is also being hurt by the fact that the last time the acc and big east went through major changes they Big East raided Conference USA due to The ACC taking teams away from the Big East. Memphis needs to join a conference like the big east or big 12.
Exactly. C-USA was strong not that long ago.
Louisville, Memphis, Cincinnati and also DePaul and St. Louis were good once upon a time.

I think the SEC will get three.
Mississippi St will more than likely get in win or lose tomorrow. Also, Auburn has an outside shot.

This is what happens when you play in what I don't consider a neutral site for usc. If you want to make it neurtral play the pac 10 tournament on the east coast and the acc/ sec and a like on the west coast. This is why the wcc went away from playing at the school sites because when san diego would host they would get in.
Why not move the tournament somewhere else on the West Coast for once?
How about Anaheim or San Jose or Oakland?
Anaheim would still favor UCLA and USC, and the Bay Area would favor Cal and Stanford.
Why because going to Anaheim is just like going to LA and San Jose and Oakland are just like going to Stanford or California. San Jose is not as bad as Oakland would be.
I take that back............it looks like Mississippi St. will have to win tomorrow to get in. Auburn is toast, especially after the USC win.
