Yeah, yeah, ... So how would you rank the top 10 NCAA mens' teams?
I wouldn't try to rank the top 10. It's way too fluid. Don't get wrong, Oklahoma has a great record and is definitely a top 10 team. But they have beaten no one that is very good, the Big XII is down this year and they yet to play Kansas, Missouri or at Texas. And then there's that loss at Arkansas that looks more and more bizarre every day. OU is not the 2nd best team in the country. That being said, they still have a great shot at a #1 seed as long as they don't collapse.

then there's that loss at Arkansas that looks more and more bizarre every day.

OU's loss to Arkansas is the Big 12 equivalent of UNC losing to BC- bizarre and strange, since the other team is not going in a positive direction.

What???? Boston College has a winning record in the ACC and has a good chance of making the NCAA Tournament. Arkansas is 1-8 in the SEC which is the the worst major conference in college basketball this year. Oklahoma's loss to Arkansas is more like Marquette's loss to South Florida, bizarre and completely unaccetable.

UCLA is looking like a team on the decline.

At best, they're a sixth or seventh seed.
Yup. Ben Howland's teams are know for their defense but they aren't playing any D right now.

How about that Georgetown-Syracuse game? That was a great comeback by Georgetown. Too bad they lost. It had the makings of another classic Cuse choke job.

Agreed on the Marquette USF comparison, but, dude...

Hahvahd 82, Backstabber College 70.

Now THAT's a joke :)

Selection Sunday is four weeks from today.

This is the bids I see for the six major conferences at this time:

(projected champion listed first)

ACC (7): North Carolina, Clemson, Duke, Florida St., Miami, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest

Big East (8): UConn, Cincinnati, Louisville, Marquette, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Villanova, West Virginia

Big Ten (6): Michigan St., Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio St., Purdue, Wisconsin

Big 12 (4): Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Texas

Pac-10 (6): UCLA, Arizona, Arizona St., California, USC, Washington

SEC (5): Florida, LSU, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee

That's a total of 36 teams from the six majors. That means 30 at-large bids for the majors, which leaves only four at-large bids for the mid-majors.

Those guesses are reasonable except for Northwestern. They have no shot. Actually Wisconsin, in spite of their recent 6 game losing streak, has a good shot of making it. They've now won 4 in a row and have 2 games upcoming with Indiana. I think they'll make it.

Pac-10 (6): UCLA, Arizona, Arizona St., California, USC, Washington

Bill, this is NOT a Pac-10 title-caliber Bruins team.

They are weaker than past teams, and are capable of being dethroned.

I think Arizona State will win the Pac-10 tournament.

Here's some interesting computerized rankings that fed into the who is overranked discussion. FTR, I have no problem with Oklahoma being ranked 2nd. They only have one loss. Fortunately the rankings ultimately mean nothing and it is settled on the court.

Helps UNC get closer to winning the conference regular season championship.

Clemson would have had to beat UNC to have a shot, and we all know about 0-54.

That equals the number of years the Rangers went before winning a Stanley Cup!
