Thats the way Ohio State usually is too, if they take a bye week and others lose, they never move up.

Which one of the scenarios do you see come Sunday night of the above standings ?

Well there is no way they bump Auburn over Ohio St this week, but it wouldn't surprise me if they tried after next week, should Auburn win the sec.

I see it coming out like this tomorrow
FSU
Ohio St
Auburn
Alabama

If it were me I would have it
FSU
Ohio St
Auburn
Missouri
Oklahoma State
Alabama

However, ya gotta remember, the team that just lost, Bama, still only has one loss, so I can see them at the top of the 1 loss teams outside of Auburn that beat them.

It will be interesting to see after next week if the Buckeyes beat MSU and play well. (didn't play all that well today)
And see how the Auburn / Missouri game goes, if that is a tight game, I can see the Bucks staying at #2.
If Bucks win but struggle, I can see Auburn passing them.

maybe not next year
undefeated for 2 seasons must come into play ??? i hope

Nope, doesn't matter ... last year doesn't mean a thing, and I agree, it shouldn't.
Teams are entirely different, Buckeyes have a very young team this year on the Defensive side ... next year they will be better on that side, while they will be not as good on the O side as they lose 4 of 5 from the O line and Carlos Hyde as well.

IMO, now that Auburn and Mizzou have won, one or the other will be the top one-loss team from the SEC after the SECCG, and I don't see either one passing an undefeated OSU. Bama can only back into the BCSCG again if both OSU and FSU were to somehow lose their conference championships. In that scenario it could be another all-SEC BCSCG, the worst nightmare for some of you. :D

Been a fun couple of days for college football, with more to come next week. :)

We shall see ... at worse, I would miss the end of the sec game. unless it's down to the wire in which case I can record the Big Ten and catch up that way.

Isn't it unusual to have the sec game in the afternoon, most of the Big sec games during the year are 7-8 pm games.
Nope, the SEC's contract with CBS provides exclusive coverage on CBS for the SEC game of the week at 3:30, with CBS having first pick of SEC home games. This includes the SEC Championship game at that time. If a game is at 7/8 on ABC/ESPN, that's actually a 2nd choice.

BCS Bowl Picture is shaken up a little bit.
Likely scenario's now:

BCS Championship
FSU - #1
Ohio St. - #2

Orange Bowl
Clempson - replacement pick for FSU (even with 2 loses, both to top 10 teams), I don't see the Orange dropping the ACC
Alabama - first at large pick, Orange will grab the best 1 loss team avail, which will be the Tide

Rose Bowl
Stanford/Arizona St. - Pac 12 Champ
Michigan St. - replacement pick for Ohio St. (Rose will take best Big Ten team, which will still be the Spartans with 2 loses)

Sugar Bowl
Auburn/Mizzou - SEC Champ
Northern Illinios/UCF - Sugar has to pick from remaining 2 automatic qualifiers

Fiesta Bowl
Oklahoma St/Baylor - Big 12 Champ
Northern Illinois/UCF - Fiesta gets whoever the Sugar doesn't pick

Ironically, the Big Ten's best chance for 2 teams in the BCS is for Ohio St. to lose to Michigan St, putting the Spartans into the Rose Bowl, and the Buckeyes likely into the Orange Bowl to play Alabama. I can see the Orange dropping the ACC for a chance to match the Tide against the Buckeyes.

Now they have been saying if Missouri wins, they play in the Championship game, with the SC loss, do they still have to win ?

If sc would have lost it would have been ooc and wouldn't have impacted the sec race as it sat last night.

Why would Alabama fall below Oks, when Alabamas only loss was a last literally last second play to the #4 team in the country and having beat how many top 25 teams this year who are still ranked? Where as Oks lost to well unranked W Virginia who only has 4 wins all year..

I just dont see how a team who was ranked #1 all year, and proved that ranking was correct week after week and has a last second loss to its biggest rival who is also highly ranked (and earned its ranking throughout the season by moving up did not start very high) would make them drop below a team who lost to a nobody. I dont even see them dropping below Missouri but that is at least debateable. Missouri losing to S Carolina in 2 OTs, is a lot more convienceing to let them pass bama then someone losing to an unranked, 4win team.

I see your first prediction to be the most accurate one and I think deep down inside you probably believe that is how it should be as well.

:facepalm Goes to.....Nick Saban!!!

What in the heck was he thinking?57 yard field goal attempt, kicker was already shaky at best. That has to rank as one of the worst coaching decisions of all time.

The kicker that missed all game was not the one that took the last kick.

Personally id have made the same call. It was statistically safe. Take a shot. Make it and win, don't make it and its OT. Fluke return, and they lost. Only the fourth time in history that one has been returned like that.

You are full of it, if you think I believe that deep down. I believe they should fall how I have them in my second list. I'm tired of the rules being different for Alabama and the sec schools. They get propped up in the rankings early to justify that they play all these ranked teams and then say "oh well we lost to a highly ranked team BS" Yeah Florida sure turned out to deserve that #10 week 1 ranking. Guess what we've played just as many ranked teams, a loss is a loss yet when its an sec school they rarely fall more than a couple of spots, yet any other conference will drop at least 5 to 6 spots. Hell we beat the 4th ranked team soundly and we only moved up 2 spots, while Alabama and the rest of the sec were playing their late season gifted school of the blind virgins teams and Florida couldn't even win that. It's this lack of parity in the way things are decided that piss off fans around the nation.

Do I think the Pokes should be ranked ahead of Bama HELL YES I do.
Who has bama played that was so tough? 4 ranked teams Ole Miss, A&M, LSU, Auburn, 3 of those teams have shown to be overrated with weak and inconsistent defenses. We have 4 ranked opponents also Ttech, Texas, Baylor and upcoming with OU, the same inconsistencies. Bama and OSU have 1 opponent in common, Miss St. Bama beat them 20-7 we beat them 21-3. So do I truly believe we should be ranked ahead of Bama especially if we beat a ranked OU this week while Bama sits idle. HELL YES

I hate to use the same argument as last time, but yalls loss is worse than ours. It just is.

Had Bama lost to (for example) a sub par Miss State team, then they wouldn't sniff the top five. They didn't they lost to a top 4 Auburn team on a freak play (still a loss, no excuse).

Ok States loss is to a team on par with State (actually this may be giving them too much credit as state is bowl bound), and nowhere near the level of Auburn. Call it SEC bias if you want, but they will be ranked behind them (my guess) because of the nature of the loss. No other reason.

As to Florida. Yes, the were over rated, and they proved that and now are in the discussion for nothing. Using them as an example makes no sense in comparison to the others. They haven't backed up their ranking, the others have.

I disagree, they had already had a punt partially blocked,a field goal blocked, the odds of making a 57 yard field goal in college are really slim.Bad coaching decision all the way.Kneel down and play in ot.If it had been a 40 yard or less attempt, different decision,57 yards,no freaking way.
