I actually think Baylor will jump Ohio St, if they win out, as Baylor still has OU, Texas Tech and OSU for their next 3 games. All 3 ranked teams and who knows Texas might jump back into the polls by the time Baylor plays them too in the season finale

Who there opponents were? So when Texas or Oregaon or Oklahoma or Notre Dame all recently got beat pretty handily they didnt deserve to be there? About the only time in the last several years where I really thought another team deserved a shot was Oklahoma st but I also understand why the other team got in and well eventually won the title. It was really a coin flip as to who deserved the best shot and each team had an equally valid argument. I do however think the team that got in would have beat OkS pretty handily as that was a world class defense that put half a dozen NFL starters on defense that draft.

We will have differing opinions on that, as I don't think bama or lsu either one would have kept up.

Teams are doing that all by themselves by watering down their OOC schedules.

The NFL has a 12 team playoff, no one is saying their regular season is diminished.

Yes it is. You can lose 8 games and still be in the playoffs... Each game is not nearly as important the more playoff games there are. Look at basketball or baseball. (yes I know they play an S ton more games) but still each loss is not as important because of how many teams get in. Look at the NCAA basketball tournament. Who really watches the regular season? Because pretty much every big school makes the tournament as long as they have a decent record so we wait till March to watch the real season begin.

That is why I wish it was OkS in the game. Just so we could have seen that play out because we will never know.

The only thing I can go by is how Oklahoma and Oregon and Texas all highly touted as the best offenses since sliced bread did when they faced a real deep Defense.

We were not all offense, our defense was also highly rated that season, leading the nation in turnovers forced and recovered, I believe.

Also Oklahoma and Texas had injuries to their big name players in those games, something everyone likes to ignore. Jason White never should have played in the Title game against LSU after partially tearing ligaments in his knee again in the Big 12 title game and DeMarco Murray didn't play against Florida after rupturing his hamstring tendon in the Big 12 championship game. Texas was nothing without Colt McCoy going out on the first series of the BCS Title game, just like South Carolina and A&M are average teams without Shaw and Manziel. What would Alabama be without McCarron?

Wow...FSU is a 3 TD favorite.... LOL!

I'm not ashamed to say I'm scared of FSU  . I know Miami is good but am not sure they're #7 good. I have a bad feeling we're getting destroyed this weekend salsa......

I don't. I feel that they match speed for speed. The U's biggest issue was the loss of their most experienced WR. It will completely depend on the Bigs for Miami, the O-Line and Miami's D-line. And the U will have to be COMPLETELY mistake free.

Miami will have to step up big. If they play anywhere like they have the last couple of weeks, FSU can name the score.

Does anyone know if the 2 losers in the 4 team playoff will be playing a second game ?

Say every one would work out as the standings are, if we ended today, Bama plays Ohio State and FSU vs Oregon ...
Say Bama beats OSU and FSU beats Oregon ... that sets up Bama and FSU for the Championship, does OSU and Oregon play that next week as well ?
No they don't. The NCAA had a consolation game in the Basketball tournament, but dropped it in the early 80's.

At least in the tourney it wouldn't cost any more, as teams & fans were already there, but with football, the logistics of 2 teams going to a different site a week later, and the likelihood fans wouldn't take off work (the followup games are after the holidays are over) to watch a meaningless game, would make a consolation game a guaranteed low attendance money losing option.

Pruitt has done wonders with that defense, and they still have not showed all their schemes. Stoops was OK, but he gave up a lot of points at times. It makes it easier when your offense is scoring 40 a game and the defense gives up 10 reliably (see Bama). Now if you score 40, and the defense gives up 41 (see A&M), it makes life hell.

Im still not sure how Stoops went from the Fsu DC to HC in the SEC.

I hope you're right bud and yes they're going to need to put up a perfect game to have a shot. It would be REAL sweet to get the win.

ALL of the pressure is on FSU now. When they played Clemson, the pressure was on the Clemson because they were the defending ACC Champs. IF ANYONE would have told me The U would be undefeated going into November, I would have called then crazy. Miami is playing with house money right now.

Like I said, "on paper", Miami has no chance. But games have never been played on paper.

Um, unless I read you incorrectly, FSU won the ACC last year.

Clemson was ranked higher, but only by 2. It was #3 vs #5, pressure was on both, the thing a lot of people are not getting is this is a different and more mature FSU team. They had some of the talent last year, but were lacking leadership (current players have called out the previous guys because there was more a selfish mentality; you cant win that way). I was scared to death of all the coaching changes we had, but guys like Pruitt have really changed this team. I'm sub'd to like 5 different Fsu youtube channels so I watch all the practice reports and player interviews, as well as Jimbo's reports during the week. These kids have their head on right, are not getting caught up in the hype, are not cocky, and taking each game at a time.

Im super stoked because we have not had this in a long time, a very long time. Clemson to me is UGA. They are a good team, but never good enough or as good as people want to think they are. Miami has a legacy, they are just hurting right now because of the last few years. They will be backk, but I just dont see them as a #7 team. We will know soon enough. I dont think this is Fsu's year though, i have more put into next year. We arent losing many guys, Winston is in the second year, Pruitt is in the second year, and the playoffs start.

My hope this year is to stay undefeated and win the ACC, with an Oregon loss. Id like em to play Bama for the NC just to see where we are at. Win or lose the big game Im happy with the result, because watch out next year. Let's face it, regardless of what you think of Bama, they are a good litmus test. I think both Fsu and Bama's defense's are great, just a matter of which offense gets slowed down more.

I love watching Jimbo press conferences. From today in his 30 minute talk, a reporter asks about his thoughts on the point spread for a rivalry game. His response in a nutshell is he doesn't look at the point spread, doesnt care about the point spread, he cares about the film he has been watching so far and that Miami looks good in all 3 phases. Silly reporters...

My thought would have been to have the Consolation game at the same place as the Championship game, either have it as the early game (if they moved it to a Weekend, like they should)(I really don't think the NFL would effect the Championship game(s) if they were on say a Sat mid afternoon and Prime time 8 pm for the Championship game at the same location.

I don't see low attendance being an issue either seeing your the #3 and #4 teams in the nation.
