Though The U is undefeated, they have yet to beat anyone of merit other than the Gators. MAYBE top 20, not top 15. With that said, only Clemson and FSU looks to have the offense to beat them.

Having watched Miamis games since the FLA game they have been a pretty solid team. I started watching them after the FLA game to see if we were really that bad if they were that good. Yes our offense really was that bad, but Miami has been a solid team. They are easily the 3rd best team in the ACC. I think the Offense of Clemson and the offense and defense of FSU will be to much for Miami though to win the ACC. I think FSU has the nudge in the Clemson vs FSU match up simply because FSU also has a solid defense to go with that great offense.

So my cousin is getting married saturday at 4pm... He lives about 2 hours from me... Is it his fault or my fault if I have to miss the wedding? I mean we played Kentucky two weeks ago, that would of been a good day.. Or Vanderbilt coming up.. Or maybe on sunday? For crying out loud we play LSU at 330 saturday. What kind of man lets his wife schedule the wedding the day and time we play LSU...

I fail to see why this is an issue for you. Lol.

One of my best friends got married the same day VT was playing Alabama in Atlanta a month ago, I went to the game. I told him flat out that #1 - he should have picked another day or at least told me before I made plans which I started making them when the schedule came out in the spring. #2 - this was his second marriage and I had already been to one and didn't need to go to another one :D

And a little off this topic but VT and Tenn just announced they will play in 2016 at Bristol Speedway - WTF!!!! That means they have a full ACC schedule with ND also on it in mid November so I have no idea when they will work this in and how they plan to pull it off let alone fill it to capacity of 200,000 seats once they add them to the track around the infield.

My cousins have found out through experience, and accepted, that weddings during football season will not be attended by me.

One of my best friends wanted me to be in her wedding. Problem was it was weekend of the iron bowl, to which I had already purchased tickets, and it was my first trip to that game. She was irritated when I declined, but a few years later we are still best of friends, and she understands and we laugh about it.

I have, at best, 14 weeks out of the year to watch my team play.

That gives them a 38 week Window.

Amazing that you guys think people will arrange their wedding around others.

Personally, I would arrange my wedding around what is best for my wife and myself.

That said, me being a Big College Football fan, I would Not have it on a Saturday during the season .... better yet, get married during your teams BYE week, they all have bye weeks now days.

I thought weddings were supposed to be Summer events?

Red River Shootout Saturday morning in Dallas. Might be the end of Mack Browns coaching tenure for the shorthorns, if OU lays another 30pt spanking on them this year

I certainly would never ask anyone too, and any post that insinuated that was (I thought) obvious sarcasm from a sports fan in a sports thread.

Of course it is their wedding, and they should plan it as they see fit.

Most weddings dates are arranged around events. Does not matter if it's football, another wedding or a party so people will attend. Would be selfish if it was not IMO. Nothing at all crazy about it.

Didn't you just do what you said you could not believe. :)

No matter, you'll be crying after either one. ;)

I don't even attend regular events or just small outings during football season. I'm sorry but unless its a massive sports bar or steakhouse with a ton of TV's and my team has already played for the day then I won't be attending. I don't just watch my team play I watch every single game I can watch sometimes several at one time including listening to a few on XM radio and streaming in others, plus the score center app is wide open. I want to stay up on everything I can as much as I can so from 3rd weekend in Aug till a few days after National Champion game is played I'm just too damn busy!

Once upon a time, when I was single, I would make sure to watch as much football as I could.

Now that I have children, football (even Ga Tech) comes a distant second to anything that involves family. Sucks, but that's one of the things about growing up. I'm sure my father felt the same when it came to the Georgia Bulldogs and me & my siblings.

Family, yes. How far out do you go with that before the line begins to blur? Wife and kid, or does it extend to cousins and such as well?

I mean my childs play, recital, party, ect, obviously. A cousins wedding? Hell Ill see them at Christmas and Thanksgiving. :D

My wife schedules things early around football games as she knows its very important to me so that works out fine and I get my kid involved even taking to at least one home game a year so no issues here. Nothing to do with growing up its about being a "Family" which means you do things with what the others enjoy but that is a full year thing so I have football, she has other things, and my kid has things that all get done at some point or enjoyed.

Years ago I was temped to date a gal who was just as fanatical of a Wolverines, Tigers and Wings fan as I. It could have been a terrific relationship...but I couldn't get past that adam's apple and penis thing she had going on.

I'm going to have a good football month, from the looks of it...

1) We canned PP. Thank goodness.
2) I'll be at the Clemson/FSU game in a weeks time. Going to be raucous!
