NBA Basketball 2009-10 Season

Well, the Magic closed the lead by going absolutely en fuego from the 3. They hit 6 of 10 from the 3 point line in the 2nd quarter alone! JC this team can come back in a hurry!

66-63 at the half.

The new Cowboys Stadium.

All Star Saturday will be at the AAC.

(BTW, Salsa, did you ever get to cover an NBA All Star Game when you worked for SportsChannel?)

To roars of MVP chants, LeBron comes alive in the 4th quarter. Cavs leading 112-98 with a little over a minute to go.

Reggie Miller says: "might as well wrap up the MVP debate".

THIRTEEN IN A ROW!!!!

Off until next Thursday night! What a way to go into the All-Star break!

The Cavs are now 6-0 against the Magic, Lakers and Hawks.

Everyone made a big deal about when the Cavs started out 2-2 at home after last year's insane 39-2 dominance .

Well, since that close call against Chicago in early November- a 1-point game, BTW- they have gone 21-1 at the Q (that came against a not-bad Charlotte team, not a team like the Nets or Timberwolves).

The Cavs improved to a "mere" 24-3 at home.

Again, this is why I don't overreact to early-season games.

This is why I like you. You're one of the few fair minded people on these boards. :)

LOL! No apologist here for the state of Florida. The state STILL outnumbers the state of Ohio in NBA championships....LOL!
By the way....how did the best record in the NBA get ya....?! As Michael Jordan once said...."it don't me a thing if you ain't got that ring"..... ;-)
Good night folks....make sure you tip your waitress at the door.....!

Well, with Spurs-Nuggets the last game before All-Star Wekend, let's look at the NBA midseason.

Here are some things I have noticed during the first half of the year:

1. The Nets stink- they REALLY stink. (Even last year's Thunder weren't THIS bad!)A starting five of any members on this site could beat them, IMHO. (Look at my 'Coach Nets for a day' link that I posted earlier tonight, BTW- I wonder how HD or Salsa would do if they were behind the bench)

2. HD said Cleveland's Shaq experiment would take a bit of time before the chemistry was right- well, after a slow start, they are playing like the Cavs we know and love.

3. The Lakers look like the best in the West, but Denver is picking up where they left off last year. That strong season a year ago was no fluke!

4. Toronto is looking pretty solid- if they can get things figured out and maybe make a good second-half push, maybe that can entice Bosh to stay.

5. The Warriors are fun to watch play, but more fun to play against if you're an opposing player

6. Salsa, what is going on with Miami? They seem to be a step slower than they were a year ago. D-Wade doesn't have as many 40-50 point games as he had last year.
