NBA 2008-09 Season

OK, Nostradumbass (somebody called me that when I started here, too.) If you throw enough sh*t on the wall, some of it is bound to stick.

Thank You!!!!!

You're prognostications aren't anymore accurate than anybody else's. (With the exception of the Arizona Cardinals, that was a hell of a call.)

Wait, you forgot Texas Tech defeating Texas, the Winneswak, ID Little League winning the Idaho regionals . And how could you forget the Killington, ND- 70 and over bowling league winning their county's tournament??? ;) :D

I can't believe there has been no mention of this AMAZING game-winner at the buzzer.

I just saw it! What makes it MORE amazing is that he lost control of the ball with 1 second left and STILL heaved itfor the winner...!

...What a pasting Denver took AT HOME!!! NO KG and Celtics STILL beat them by 40!!!! And it wasn't even THAT close.....

114-76! Boston over Denver on the road! OMFG! Can you say statement game?!

The 38-point margin of defeat is tied for Denver's second-biggest home loss since joining the NBA in 1976.

The Celtics improved to 5-0 without Kevin Garnett. I guess they will be alright after all without "The Big Ticket." I fear the Celtics are using the injury to Garnett as a rallying cry. Most people figured a setback. They are using it as a motivation tool. Players are stepping up in his absence. They will be better in the end because of it.

THIS is exactly why I said I was not going to pronounce doom and gloom when I heard about KG's injury.

When Robert Parish was out, the Celtics were no better than a .500 team, whereas they won most of the games that McHale and Bird missed.

"I don't know what God had in mind when he created Greg Kite, but it wasn't to be the sixth man on an NBA championship team"

- Bob Ryan, on the post-champion Celtics lack of depth.

To the surprise of nobody, the Cavs beat the Grizzlies.

Amazingly, LeBron had only 15- I wonder if he had his daily big dunk and blocked shot, though.

Wade's big night leads Heat past Detroit, 103-91 - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

The Pistons are D-O-N-E, done.

It's over, all over.

The great run of Piston basketball is done.

Seven losses in a row, another double-digit defeat, and the opponents don't get any easier.

The Central Division race is practically a foregone conclusion.

D.Wade....31 point, 8 rebounds and 16 dimes!!! He may not be the best player in the NBA, but he has done the MVP in my opinion. Who was it that said he was not the 3rd best player in the league??!!:rolleyes: Where would that team be without him....can you Sacremento Kings?!

Where would the Lakers and Cavs be without Kobe and LeBron? They wouldn't nearly be as good either.

Cavaliers Ticket Prices Will Remain Unchanged

While the Cavaliers’ product is probably better than that of any other of the pro-level teams in this city, coupled with an owner that will be paying a considerable amount of money in luxury tax next season, the team has decided that it too will not increase prices for the 2009-10 basketball season.

Dan Gilbert had the following to say:
“With unprecedented economic challenges facing our country, and felt even more intensely in Northeast Ohio, we feel that freezing ticket prices is the right thing to do despite the Cavaliers historical success this season and the resulting demand for tickets that our on-court performance has created”

Oh HD....you know they would AT LEAST be a playoff contender....maybe not go deep...but they would be challenging for a playoff spot. The Heat would be challenging for the Top Pick in the NBA draft....AS WELL as the Lakers.

That is great! Damn....the Cavs must be some kind of "socialist team" ....:rolleyes:

When the votes are counted D. Wade will be third in the count. Sorry, but it's going to happen. You can't overlook the Cavalier's and Laker's records this season. BTW, hell of a performance by Mr. Wade last night. He is a very talented player, no doubt, but his team is a long way down the standings, as is everybody else in Cleveland's division.
