SALT LAKE CITY -- Boston forward [ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=261"]Kevin Garnett Stats, News, Photos - Boston Celtics - ESPN[/ame] was injured late in the second quarter of the Celtics' 90-85 loss to Utah on Thursday night and went hopping on one foot toward the locker room.

The Celtics said he strained his right knee and would not return.
Garnett released a statement after the game, saying he would have the knee re-examined on Friday.

"We should have more information at that time. Obviously, I would much rather be playing instead of giving this statement," Garnett said.

Garnett injured his right leg while going up for an alley-oop late in the first half. He landed gingerly and motioned immediately to the bench for a substitute, then hopped on his good foot toward the locker room.

He warmed up with his teammates before the second half, but the Celtics weren't going to take any chances with the superstar for a regular season game when Boston already had the best record in the Eastern Conference.

How many things has Barkley apologized for in his life? Throwing a guy through a window? Throwing some ice on some fans? Having a million dollars in unpaid gambling debts.? He should have just cited his old commercial, "I am not a role model" and left it at that.

Suns' Stoudemire could miss 8-weeks and possibly the remainder of the season!

A day after deciding to let the trade deadline pass without making a major money-saving move, the inactivity seemingly has turned incredibly costly for the Phoenix Suns.

The beleaguered Suns announced Friday that Amare Stoudemire was forced to undergo eye surgery to repair a partially detached retina suffered in a Wednesday night rout of the Los Angeles Clippers. It is Stoudemire's second eye injury since October and the All-Star forward could miss the rest of the regular season.

I was wondering the same thing. This guy is so two faced when it comes to some issues it ain't even funny. I can't wait to see him lose in a landslide vote if he decides to run for office in Alabama like he keeps claiming he will do one day.

For those of you who missed the game last night, here's the video recap. This game surely was a spectacle for any fan. It’s already being compared to the 48-Special from the playoffs at the Palace of Auburn Hills. The only thing missing was the post-season importance. An all-around fun game to watch. Some of the 3's LeBron was hitting were closer to half court than the 3-point line!

Oh, and one more thing. Charlie Villanueva, you're ugly, you have no eyebrows and now you can add one more characteristic to your resume'.... you're a THUG! Throwing elbows and grabbing the throat of Big Z was completely unnecessary.

No wonder Toronto got rid of him!

The Cav's Magic Number to clinch the Central Division is at 15.

Any combination of Cavs victories and losses by the second place team in the Central (currently Detroit) adding up to 15 will give Cleveland it's first Central Division title since 1976!

This will help them come the "real season". Garnett has to be tired from the last two seasons. Playoffs, Olympics, etc...

Eh. Not if your among a few teams battling for the 1st seed in the East. These next 2-3 weeks will be crucial in deciding the race for that top seed. 1 of those games will be the Cavs @ Boston. Currently, the season series is tied at 1 game a piece. If either team wins the series, it could be a tiebreaker down the stretch.
